In 1986, at just 10 years old, I made a bold decision: I was going to be a fighter pilot. The catch? Women weren't allowed to be combat fighter pilots. But no one bothered to tell me that. Even my parents, aware of the policy, encouraged me to pursue my dreams with committed determination.
Thankfully, I was surrounded by a support system of parents, teachers, coaches, and mentors who believed in me and encouraged me to go after what I wanted. Their encouragement shaped my journey and fueled my determination to achieve my goals.
Your words and actions hold immense power. Will you be the voice that says, "You can do it" or the hand that extends in support or mentorship? The impact you have can change lives.
