A few years ago I had the BMW Adventure 1200 GS (2010). Great bike but I found the bike too tall for my 1.78m frame. A few bikes later & luckily found a 2011 1200 GS with only 19 600 km on the clock!! Rides like new & still find any excuse to go for a spin!!

Hello Mark, I agree with you 100%. I switched from 2005 model to 2011 model and it's a huge difference, just like you describe...a wonderful bike, comfortable, manoeuvrable, great engine. Greetings from Germany, Erich

I've ridden all bikes from 125cc scooters to 1600cc giants. I'm 61 and still riding. It's been over 40 years on this adventure. My first bike was a 1987 KLR650. Kawasaki. Great bike. Since then I have been on many brands. Nothing beats a 1200GS. The low center of gravity, impeccable design. Well, the 1250 I don't know about yet. Anyone out there who has one I can mount?

I just bought a 2007 K25 with 112,000 km on it. Excellent handling, and torque forever. Because of the type of owners these bikes have, it runs like new. I intend to keep up the tradition!

Had a test ride on a 2022 gs today. What a terrific bike, so easy to ride compared to my t100. 2014 T100 as basic as you'd get, the gs more gadgets that you'd ever need. Both great bikes in their own way. I'd have to sell a kidney to buy new, looking at 2015-2017. Interesting to hear your comments. Keep up the great content 👍

Yes buy one... and have countless issues with it monthly and an ecu that can't report on or log issues e.g. if running issues are caused by the tps, fpc, fuel pump, injectors, coils etc etc so you're left with no option but having to drop it off at a main dealer to swap parts to debug.
@marksavage8 ай бұрын
It's the same with all bikes today to be honest bud , I've had 4 and not one issue ! Yes a kawasaki that just wouldn't stop going wrong But agree they are very expensive to get things done at main dealer In fact rude !

Good evening from wot I've seen I love the gs but I hate gadgets an gizmos and too many buttons, but I will be upgrading one day to a gs 2010, as long as it doesn't have a tft screen and 1 million buttons and 14 riding modes, (ie) you no wot I mean 😆 so from 2006 to 2010 model and I can't wait, I hope that day isn't too far away, and I no wot you mean about knee's yep I'm in same boat as you at 43 ecsept I refuse to go by car anywhere unless it's a short trip with misses other than, any weather it has to be a bike and I wouldn't have it any other way 👍

Hi bud , I've had a few the best one was a 2011 ! , best engine and gear box on my one , Check history and test ride is a must , check how it goes into gears so make sure they are smooth and not chunky, my 2016 from new used to chuck and was always annoyed by that lol . Abs is another thing so check any lights on dash with that as the pump fails. Otherwise they are just great bikes , easy to service with help of my video lol. Enjoy

Did you ever find out why the 2016 rattled more and was clunkier, the opposite should have been true. Also when you put weight on the rear such as a passenger plus luggage the weight will lower the suspension, you are supposed to re-adjust the sag (compression and rebound) if you don't you are endangering yourself and your passenger. Most bikes come with a key to make the adjustment in minutes, the 2016 you had did it automatically from the cockpit.
@marksavage6 жыл бұрын
the BMW dealer said the gears were just like that as water cooled and just seemed in fazed by it as for the height yes is is controlled by the computer adjustment but it just seemed to go higher or higher ! even with luggage and the wife it was better on one helmet, the 2011 older suspension again was better as I said the 2016 bmw gs was a great bike and I guess it was down to being a short ass but I did so much more like the 2011 gs for riding and smoothness
