@@GimbalGod i worked as a snowcat operator and heavy equipment mechanic for them for years. Worked at several resorts under vail. I can say their mountains are pretty good and the low end staff are good people. Middle and upper management is a huge problem in that company. hardly anyone is qualified for the position they hold and the higher ups have no idea why they are in lawsuits, have plummeting stock values, and have an almost zero employee retention rate. Really sad to see. I got my associates degree in ski area operations and really wanted to work in the industry as a career, but the rising costs of housing, the terrible wages, and the way the company treated me was so horrific that i dont think ill be returning to the industry after i get my BAS in Leadership and Management. But ya never know what opportunities will arise.

This is so misleading. Vail is constantly trying to shut down the parks and delay park crew every time they want to build. I’ve lived here for ten years and I’ve seen it first hand. In a few years we’ll be lucky to have a park at all
