As fun as it may be, as someone who's been skiing and riding since I could barely stand up, i must say a part of my soul dies every time I see a skier in the park-regardless of their talent level-hitting rails and tabletops with their skis and poles just flying around as if they have a mind of their own. Snowboarders just make everything seem more graceful. Not meaning any offense or disrespect, as some of these guys are absolutely amazing, I just think the aesthetic is lost somewhat when you've got four pieces of equipment flying around instead of one piece that you're locked into.
