In some of your other videos, you explain how throughout the backswing the pressure gradually moves from the front to the back inside of the trail foot. I always thought this related to how much your right hip turns back but here, you point out that it should turn deep even with a short swing. Could you please explain how the 2 relate? Love your channel. Went from 22 hcp to 16 in about a year and your content played a major role

When i first started playing in the 80s restricting hip turn on the back swing was the rage, no wonder i struggled for years. In the 90s i had a lesson with John Jacobs at Woburn, England and the first thing he changed was unrestricted hip turn, boy oh boy, a game changer for me.

Think the important is that it is ok to start the. backswing with hip, but many people than also automatically pull the club inside right away with that hip turning as the first

I have this same issue, hips tend to lock up and not turn. I can make a great hip movement effortlessly in my practice swings, but the ball being in the way creates some sort of mental block 😑

I was once told to act like you have bags of groceries in your hands and you are closing the car door by turning your hip/ right butt cheek into it. 🤷♂️
