So you just run battery straight to the motors. You don’t run any brushed controller?

One question please, I have bought a car for my son and I changed the motors, I put in higher revs. my problem is that it works for 15 seconds and then it turns off by itself and turns on after 5 seconds. this happens constantly. it had a 12v battery 4.5Ah and I put a new 12v 9Ah one but it still does the same thing. Do you know what the problem is? Can you help me?

Most of the battery's have a resettable fuse sounds like your drawing too much current the fuse is stopping the car and then your waiting (*shoud hear a click) when it resets and your going again. TLDR - you need to have a battery with a bigger fuse to allow the increase in current to the higher power motor.

Could you use a drill motor. Like bauer or dewalt 20v? If so i then would rig the battery base in it that fits the drill, and you could just run every h I gh output correct battery.. im just wondering because im in awe of this idea.. soooo much room to grow.. we can eventually build us electric mini racers. How about going straight to brushless? They're more efficient and prices seem to be comparable to brushed units.

I chose to dry break in. Too lazy to remove motors, lol. I didn't really want to expose the bearings to water anyways.

@@CustomKidzCarsokay cool thanks man, I broke our 775s in on 6v and then 12v so hopefully these will hold up a bit better lol what are you guys doing for removing the stock shifter switch? Do you just bypass that and run it straight from the pedal or do a relay

It's custom, we paid $250 for each harness. The guy might sell them but would need to check if you are a serious buyer. Will also need two escs and brushless motors. All in we spend about $1000 on the fireball Camara setup.

@@CustomKidzCars would you just change to a chain drive or would you run brushless? would like it to be fast and last. I understand once you go brushless gear box won't last, is this correct? I live in Hawaii and enjoy modding my sons power wheels while following along with your builds.

If u enjoy fabrication chain drive is a great option. Solid axle does not like to turn but would be great with plastic tires for drifting. You also need to consider disk brake setup on your axle. Why stop there, add suspension... see how it snowballs, lol. Go-kart is a great option too.

Why aren’t you water dipping for break ins? Takes half the time and is a better break in. Also, use CRC QD Electronics Cleaner in the blue can…cleans just as well and it is plastic safe. You can pick it up at Lowes.

@@dancearoundtheworld5360 I left a comment about it on your vevor reciprocating saw video because they kept getting deleted here for some reason. It probably got flagged as some kind of sales spam. That combo gear is about $2 or $3 delivered from china, but a full gearbox with new motor is about $8 delivered. If you are trying to go faster and break less stuff they sell something called an RS775 motor and gearbox which is something custom someone probably decided to have made in china which was then just sold and copy/pasted everywhere for $30. The 775 motor is from an electric lawnmower I think, it’s 288W.
