Tried this out today (20/06/23). It really made a difference - especially slowing down the swing and removing the agression. I got through an entire round without a significantly bad shot.

Tried No. 3 yesterday and it worked really well, definitely worth trying if anyone has any doubts. The key is a smooth swing, if I tried to chase it my slice came back. I am a slow swing senior and I was easily getting twenty yards more and usually playing from the fairway.

It’s really good to get feedback and glad it works for you 👍

@@TheAverageGolfer Hi Andy, glad it helps. Incidentally I saw your video of the XXIO12 Driver and its follow up. My driver is a Stealth Plus with a 40gm ladies shaft. A weird combination but was the best fit at a Taylormade demo day. The fitter was an ex Euro Tour fitter and he was determined to find a driver to improve my rubbish swing. I think the driver combination plus the new swing method might be the best golf investment I have ever made. But as I said earlier, as have you, the real key is to swing smooth and have the tool to do that.
@TheAverageGolfer Жыл бұрын
@@johnkane4457 it seems a similar set up to me, I think many golfers would improve with a lighter shaft

I watch Alex’s tips and have found some real nuggets in his content, but he’s a PGA Pro and you’re not, Andy, which makes your application of them so much more relatable. Great idea to take, apply and interpret these pro tips. Please keep making these types of videos. Super helpful mate.👍🏻

I tried out Alex's earlier driver tip on the course yesterday (having the driver two clubheads behind the ball at setup). I had practised it at the Range earlier, but WOW what a disaster! Every drive was a duck hook and I'm not sure where the centre of the driver's face was because I couldn't find it! I was so depressed after the round that I'm now seriously considering selling my clubs and giving up the game just to protect my mental health!🤦♂🤦♂😒😒😢😢
@TheAverageGolfer Жыл бұрын
🤣 oh god so sorry mate! I do agree there is a danger that you rotate the face too much and it becomes a hook, what is your normal shot shape?
@banditbaker1675 Жыл бұрын
@@TheAverageGolfer not to worry, I usually have a bit of a Pull/draw anyway, so I'm on first-name terms with the rough & trees on the left side of my Course. PS just to let you know that I am taking a break from golf and might be missing for a while. I'm dealing with a few medical issues at the moment and unfortunately, they aren't helping my game. Hopefully, when I get sorted out I will be back to tear up the fairways again👍👍
