Is Porto, Portugal the BEST city in all of Portugal? Is it better than Lisbon? Should we move to Porto? This week we are traveling through the GORGEOUS city of Porto, Portugal! We will be showing you ALL the best places to eat, drink and what to go see.
In this episode we visit a Michelin star restaurant for Kyle's birthday, eat traditional Portuguese food, visit one the most beautiful bookstore in the world, drink lots of Port wine and much more!

Thanks for the video about the water taxi across the Douro River, I’ll give it a try in December when we visit for the 3rd time to Porto. We adore Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia!

It looks like we're going to have to check out Porto after seeing your video! Gotta admit though, we're not really keen on Port wine lol. Oh well, I'm sure they have beer. Cheers from Vancouver :)

Yes, you have to see Porto! It’s so beautiful. I (Mandy) am not big into port wine, either. Too sweet for me. Thankfully they do have beer and lots of cocktail places, as well.

Foi erro na divisão administrativa. V.N. de Gaia deveria pertencer ao distrito de Aveiro, tal como Almada pertence ao distrito de Setúbal.

Vila Nova de Gaia deveria ser continuidade da Cidade do Porto como foi no sec XIX pela menos até aquilo a que se chama de Ribeira de Gaia e vem dizer que dever ia pertencer ao distrito de Aveiro? Almada em relação a Lisboa é completamente diferente porque para além de um rio com um leito muito maior que o Douro as dividir , Lisboa e Almada, uma não é a continuidade da outra como é o caso de Porto e Gaia. Passando para o outro lado do rio há uma continuidade arquitetónica (fisica) e humana),pelo que, não faz sentido nenhum serem duas cidades quando deveria ser só uma. Então dizer que Gaia deveria pertencer ao distrito de Aveiro não lembra ao diabo tão longe que está de Aveiro. É perfeita estupidez dizer tal enormidade.

@@Lafonense Mas atenção, não é o Porto que depende de Gaia para nada , aliás quem depende é gaia e todos os municípios à volta do Porto e todos eles cresceram e ganharam notoriedade POR ISSO MESMO , POR ESTAREM À VOLTA DA CIDADE CENTRAL, PORTO.Estivessem eles isolados cada um per si e não tereim a notoriedade que t~em nem teriam crescido como cresceram. Se Gaia quisesse por absurdo ser la do distrito de Aveiro cessariam as "obrigações" do Porto para com essa cidade como transportes, lazer, cultura e todos os movimentos pendulares do dia a dia de gaia para o Porto . Acho piada virem com esta arrogância dando a sensação que o Porto ganha algo com isso quando quem usufrui e muito do facto de estarem colados ao Porto são todos esses municípios porque s enão eram uns ilustres desconhecidos. Atenção que sou de Viana do Castelo embora viva no Porto. Mas em Portugal pensa-se pequenino . este pedacinho é meu, aquele pedacinho é teu e nenhum dos dois pedacinhos são grandes, ou seja, se houvesse tino e visão Porto e Gaia deveriam ser uma única cidade e estão divididas artificialmente tudo á portuguesa com certeza. Por isso não temos em Portugal uma GRANDE CIDADE D EFACTO PORQUE É TUDO RETALHADO.

@@Lafonense A Ribeira de Gaia , quando o centro Histórico do Porto foi reconhecido Património Mundial da Humanidade, também foi incluída .Porque será? Desde quando Gaia nas representações mentais da sua população se sentem ligadas a Aveiro? Isso sim, seria uma decisão contranatura.

Not very easily haha! We had to hire a pet transport service to make sure she was set to fly, and fly her to us. We were hoping to bring her on the plane, but she is too large. But we got here here and now she is happy as can be :). Thanks for watching!

@@mandyandkyle Awww I bet she is! Plan is in 3 years to move to Portugal and bring my 10 lb Shiatzu with us. Just wasn't sure how that was going to work. So that is why I love your channel now LOL

You may be able to bring your shiatzu on the plane with you, since it’s a small breed (depending on airline). We couldn’t because our dog is 60 pounds. But you may have better luck than we did! You will love Portugal! Best of luck on your move! Thanks for watching! :)
