Go in Haste, Be Astonished, Treasure! - Bishop's Sunday Sermon

Friends, on this Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, we hear three significant words in the Gospel from Luke: haste, astonished, and treasured. If God has broken into your life in some decisive way, if you’ve been given your mission, then don’t worry about what the world says: move, act, go. When God manifests himself, the right response is astonishment. And then savor, treasure, reflect upon these astonishing things in your heart. In all these ways, we honor Mary, the Mother of God.

God spoke these words to me, "Believe. Be strong." I joined the Catholic Church after I saw a vision in church of Mary beckoning me to her Son. It changed my life. I was called to join Him and His Son and I said yes.

@@_ready__ By loving God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your might. By following the will of God. So, the good book says. I don't fixate on an afterlife, because I'm just trying to make my life better here by learning and growing with God. Then, whatever happens, happens. Love for me is trying to follow God's dictates and discover how I can be a better person. I don't have squishy feelings about Jesus. That's never happened for me as it has for some of my nonCatholic friends. I have reverence.
