Go-Kart 11hp Motor Swap - Burnouts

We are at it again ! Waiting on parts for the Model A, so Jamie and I decided to make the Go-Kart a little more powerful by swiping out the 163cc 5.5hp Honda for a big block 389cc 11hp Honda. We got to scabbin and got that motor mounted with a new clutch. Join us for the ride, and maybe a burnout and some sideways..

I believe gx390’s are 13hp sir, the gx340’s are rated at 11hp so you got 2 extra hp 👍

Surely it would be WAY easier just to remove all the governor arm and springs all together rather than adding more complexity trying to hold it in place??

Okay I have a quick question for you I have a xrx trailmaster with the 6.5 engine I just removed it I'm thinking about buying a 11.5 horsepower Briggs & Stratton engine off of Facebook marketplace would I have to replace the engine mounting plate in order to 11 horsepower engine or will it use the same mounting holes

The bold pattern for the 11.5 hp is different but the xrx may have a universal plate on it as it comes with engine options. I believe the width of the bolt pattern is the same as the 6.5 hp but the length is different. hope this helps sounds like a fun swap...

Its no plate turn out it's mounts too the frame bars it's has 2 holes in each bar
