finish messing around with the bearings and finally mate the chain with its respective sprockets. very little left to do before this becomes operational :)

What is the chain that you used or what caliber

Centrifigal clutch works the same as a chain saw. At idle the chain wont move until you rev it.

My go kart is a shifter and i put it in "n" to start it it wont un engage the clutch it just keeps spinning so the only way i can get it to move it by rolling it and then start it in gear

Well could you make a video about talking apart ur clutch because yours looks the same as mine and i could not find a video on a older clutch

if you have a bad clutch its probably just better to replace it with a new one. they dont cost a whole lot of money, some models on ebay can be as cheap as $30

You do need to sandwich them on one side like you have at :58 I did the same thin the first time I assembled mine

Has that got a clutch? if so what kind? im a newbie
@enderspirit79294 жыл бұрын
Yes, it does. It is called a Centrifugal Clutch. It uses Centrifugal Force to act as a Clutch. If you want more info look up a video on them.

what are the number of teeth on both the sprockets??
@bignickthegreat9 жыл бұрын
Vivek Pkp I think its 11tooth on the clutch and I would have to count teeth on the axle sprocket. But whatever size it is, it's too small. Not enough low end torque and too much top speed

Why don’t you just use a chain breaker to remove the chain links instead of a frickin angle grinder, lol. Surprised you were able to make all that without any appropriate tools or relevant mechanical knowledge
@aforce33319 жыл бұрын
He doesnt know what sproket it is because it has more than 2 teeth and he cant count that high,at least it looks like the dubbie kicked in or that is just the normal thinking path, uh I believe the round peg goes in the sruare hole,smoke another one
@MrCjjones1019 жыл бұрын
dumbass.. ppl that dont have chain breakers use grinders.
@MrCjjones1019 жыл бұрын
Hey that straight pipe isnt a good idea haha i bet this karts blow up already
@bignickthegreat9 жыл бұрын
MrCjjones101 ironically the engine is trashed, but not for having a straight pipe exhaust. Putting a straight pipe on a small engine like this is one of the easiest ways to get more power.
@jameswood95018 жыл бұрын
actualy a strait pipe is ideal less restriction in the combustion chamber dont comment on somthing that you have no clue about it makes you look dumb

I THINK YOU NEED TO GO ROLL ANOTHER JOINT,HOW DO YOU EVEN THINK OR WORK WITH ALL THE GARBAGE AROUND, PLUS HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF A CHAIN SPLITTER,TAKE A BIG TOKE BEFORE YOU CLIMB ON THIS ONE,
@bignickthegreat9 жыл бұрын
Ok, quit your bitching. Sounds like you could actually use a joint to calm the fuck down. Anyways, all the junk is gone and chain breakers cost money that my broke ass doesn't have. It's called being creative O.o

***** can you show how you broke the chain with the grinder I don't really wanna buy a breaker either and I have a grinder, also whatb# chain did you use?
@bignickthegreat9 жыл бұрын
i just basically ground off the one side of the link and used a screwdriver to pry the link apart. And this kart uses #40 chain. #35 is popular for go karts as well
@aforce33319 жыл бұрын
Hey ,I need to apologise for the ruude remarks I made to you, my work space gets so messed up I dont know where to start again after I stopped, I know the feeling of being broke at times,so I am sorry for the ignorant remarks and Im sure your project will turn out great, have a good day and I will look for a progress video, ken dufur
@arnoldlopez48468 жыл бұрын
your design of the axle is too weak. use pillow blocks mounted directly under the chassis. your design has a weak link due to the placement of the bearing. it cant withstand the over all weight of your cart. it will work but wonr last .
