The rounded cage makes total sense to me. I've done the same thing before on previous builds, as I have been in a very bad crash in a dune buggy where I was left paralyzed for 6 months, and permanently disabled. The rounded bows to the sides and at front save the rider from shock. Thanks for the vid. So far, you are the most entertaining.

Sorry to hear about the accident. That's the idea with the rounded cage... eliminate most of the initial 'slap.' Thanks for the comment!

Thanks, it was just a Manco with 3:1 high gear and a 9:1 first with the Subaru 6.5 bhp engine, the governor removed of course. That cart's max speed was 72 mph, and I was doing that or around that speed in 2003 when I endo'ed it 4 rolls off a ramp. Instantly paralyzed, as the roll-cage was stock. But the next ones I built myself, and what a difference building to the specs of the rider makes. You guys are super entertaining!

Naturally, the extra gearing was something I added when I had it.

You guys are doing a great job, looks heavy duty... Key word "heavy". Hopefully the driver is a kid, not a 250 lbs guy. Lol

Great build series, only thing I'd say to change is the constant following so close behind with a camera, just set it up on a tripod a few feet back and get ya'll working in view. The shaking and zooming in and out really gets annoying

Just wondering, what happened to part 7? Doesn't show up on the playlist. Still looks like an awesome build.

Should be around. You can either find it in the build playlist or search for "Go-Kart Build Episode #7 (Front Bumper)

Thanks. Thought it was gone or something since it wasn't showing up in the playlist. Great build and really liking the on the fly design.

were is #9 with back suspension I can not find it.

Episode 9 is called Epic Welding, but it had a copyright strike when I first uploaded it... hasn't shown up in the recommended section since. If you watch this series in its playlist, they should all play sequentially. Rear suspension is covered very briefly in Episode 10.
