I think he meant 5/16-24. Standard on the 212 predator motor. I opted for a torque converter over the centrifugal clutch. Supplied bolts were metric.

Over all good video. I would like to point out that you should leave a gap in the slot for the engine mount to allow adjustment to the chain tension as the change will stretch

+Alexander Todt it is completely, 100% dependant on the welder itself so it will vary by welder and there is no clear answer other than 'read your users manual' and set your welder to the settings needed to weld 11 gauge steel.

You will need a live axle go kart. kartfab.com/live-axle-go-kart-plans 250cc bike engine is a lot for a go kart if it is a motorcycle engine.

Live axle is the only way, unless you make some sort of a jackshaft type of setup with two one wheel assemblies, but that is impractical, a live axle kit (solid axle) is the way to go to get both wheels spinning at the same rate.

open up your users manual, and search how to adjust idle speed (black plastic screw on top of carb) also, make sure your throttle is returning completely to idle position, if not, some people install a little spring by drilling a hole in the throttle arm and connecting the spring between the throttle arm and pull cord cover.

This doesn't use a peerless transmission. It's only one wheel drive. The simplest and easiest and cheapest way to build a go kart.

You gotta weld the plate to the go kart, bolts do not hold the plate to the go kart itself.

Sounds good in theory but that’s actually one of the ways you can burn up your clutch.

noooo! haha. best is a 10 or 11T gear on clutch, and a 52-60T axle sprocket. it'll still get you over 25mph with an 11T/52. if you don't care about accelerating quickly, 11T/44 gets you 32mph @3600 rpm, but you will burn the clutch up sooner.

What do you mean by breaking? Describe what happens. What is the size of the thing you are riding? Teeth on clutch? Teeth on axle sprocket? Jackshaft?

You didn’t give me the information I asked for, so I can’t tell you what’s wrong. If I had to guess it’s your gearing. If you have a clutch your tires should be no larger than 15” and the axle sprocket should be around 60t/and a 10t clutch, or a 72t axle and a 12t clutch
