Yo! This is cool af, always wanted to do something like this! love the editing and style! Was wondering if you had considered using/building something more akin to a street luge for this? some hard longboard wheels that slide easy, with some good lubed up bearings. Coupled with some slide gloves and you could get some great speed and have controlled steering. Also would solve the caster wheels facing the wrong way and flat spotting so quickly!

You should probably use a 3 wheel design with two inline non swivelling casters at the back and a swivelling caster at the front centred. Ideally all large diameter inflatable rubber tire or high temperature resistant plastic like specific nylons. This will allow the front wheel and only the front wheel to be guiding, while also preventing melting and increasing traction if you opt on the rubber wheels. Mayor downside is that if you were to switch directions like in the sideways cone, you might fall off after it refuses to change direction with low speeds, sideways and a thight radius.
