I think that the reason Mayday Parade was so good in the first place is because Jason wrote the lyrics and because Jason has heart. The instuments and Derek's voice guided by Jason was absolute magic. I'm so happy he continues to make music in Go Radio.

This really is everything that's been missing from Mayday Parade. It sucks what happened, because it just feels incomplete without Jason Lancaster. Not just the vocals, but the emotions he brings to each song.

I still loved their second and third albums, but it was noticeably different. I'm probably more likely to listen to a song from A Lesson In Romantics or Tales Told By Dead Friends if they come on than those other two. And their latest album I struggled to get into. I liked about two thirds of that album, but I often find myself skipping those songs if they start playing. I just didn't really enjoy that album.

Whenever I listen to today's mayday parade songs without Jason, I can't help my self thinking, what if Jason is the one who sang on the second stanza. So I end up listening where Jason is really part of the song like the first 2 albums of Mayday Parade just to make me feel better. I don't think if I explained it well and was able to share my point properly but yeah. Just missing the old mayday parade but I am going to meet Mayday Parade this October, can't wait!

The way I see it: Mayday Parade - I almost want to propose to the guitar solo of No Heroes Allowed. Go Radio - One time playing with the pitch in Lucky Street, I put it from +1 to +5, and the intro guitar still sounded amazing. Verdict: you are absolutely correct, and I shall join you in enjoying the shit out of both bands' music.

Jason Lancaster was in Mayday Parade for some of their first albums. He left around 2007 because he was getting too overwhelmed by the music. He later formed Go Radio because he missed the music. (Hince why Mayday Parade sounds different now). :o) Still a big fan of both but I listen to Go Radio more.

I respect their lyrics alot, this really isn't my cup of tea- I was looking for a more "traditional" pop punk, It may be a bit to whiny for me hahaha, but you know opinions, But it is nice to see everyone on this video not fighting and appreciating everyones opinions- You have kept the attitude alive, Nice. :D You guys should all check out alkaline trio, thats a pretty good band also- I mean similar to this style.
