I built Trostani once, got rid of all my cards, and years later started back up again. Trostani was the only commander I wanted to build again. I love using Mercy Killing on my Soul of Eternity. Strong recommend!

Little mistake at 14:22 i think (not that it matters), but Micah can only swing allout at Andrew, not split the attacks. They are all goaded with the sauce.

II started playing commander a little while back. I tried out your Trostani deck a few months ago because it reminded me of one of my all time favorite decks Recurring Survival from back in the day, and it's been a blast to play. I've been making tweaks here and there to put a bit more of me into it instead of having it be a carbon copy. One of the tweaks was Nesting Dovehawk in for Selesnya Eulogist. One time I got a Helm of the Host on to the Dovehawk and it just went nuts and created a huge board state for me. in just two turns. I noticed you put in Mondrak. What did you take out? I'd be cool to see an updated deck list to see where you've been taking the deck. vs where I've been taking it.

Ngl I actively hate go shintai. With enchantments being a strong archetype and the insane synergy it’s almost always the archenemy

I think the narrator misspoke. Akiri and Bruse Tarl had double strike because of double strike counters from earlier, and the equipments buff regardless of Humility.

I think this was a case of people being too nice and not killing Micah when he was at 9 to prevent his discard and humility nonsense. In our playgroup we have a general accepted rule that, from turn 7 onwards, the gloves come off and we don't play nice anymore.

How did akiri get the trigger while humility was in play?

Because it is the trigger from the Fighter Class, not from Akiri. And as Opalescence entered the battlefield AFTER Humility, Fighter Class still has its abilities.

Micah also forgot that go-shintai makes a token when it or another non-token shrine enters so he missed making one on his own commander play. This may have either resulted in mob rule being discarded or his creatures being big enough that when mob rule happened he might have died.

I think I'm gonna build this Trostani deck. I was trying out a few different life gain commanders and this one seems really fun. I have almost half the deck already and I'll probably swap out a few of the pricier cards (I is broke). My only problem will be my playgroup who for some reason think life gain is the biggest threat in magic -_-

Every go shintai pilot thinks the deck is super fun lol, so it’s not going anywhere unfortunately I don’t love the generically powerful 5c commanders that push out everything else in their archetypes

the elder gargaroth token dont have haste only if the equipped creature is legendary do they give haste

That's not exactly true. The part that grants haste is a section by itself and grants the token haste regardless of whether or not it's legendary.
