Bro, you are blessed to be able to have that experience. Shop hand, tow recover assistant, and a regular Joe, at the diner. That's all part of the "adventure" I travel in a 1993 Range Rover Classic, and I know if there's gonna be a break down, be prepared to wait for parts. It's happened, and because of it, I've met some amazing people. Safe travels

Hey Ben just found your channel. I saw you got rid of the 4Runner and you do have a troopy. In your opinion is that troopy more reliable then the 4Runner? And which one are you enjoying more.
@BenStinnett10 ай бұрын
Hey Alex! Glad you found your way over here! That’s a tough question, because I love them both for different reasons. Toyota quality is legendary all around, and I have zero complaints about the modern 4Runner, other than the fact that with all the computers and electronics I was worried about being able to self diagnose and fix things on the road. The troopy on the other hand is very mechanically simple, but old trucks are a labor of love to get to a super reliable place. I love the troopy, partially because when you’re driving you feel very “connected” to it. But sometimes I miss the luxury of the 4Runner driving experience.

Thanks man, hope you're doing well too! Root cause ended up being my use of the original head without a rebuild. 2 valve springs were cracked, and head flatness was out of spec. With the rebuild on the head, the engine is running great!
