Ayy I'm like really late but I have extremely thick curly hair due to being biracial (nevermind my pic, that's just a wig) and thanks to my mom being a hair stylist I found some bobby pins that hold my hair back extremely well. Try either meta grip premium bobby pins or if those don't work, meta grip premium roller pins. Whether you just have thick, straight hair or are like me and have extremely thick unmanageable curls, you should be able to use them okay.
