My name is Eric and I travel with my cats, “Tara” & “Opie” in a 2012 Class A Coachmen Mirada named “Miranda” and tow a 2014 Smart Car named “Tater Tot”. We travel about 35 miles a day chasing 70 degrees year-round since 2010.

The Mississippi River carries roughly 500 million tons of sediment into the Gulf of Mexico each year. The Mississippi River is not the only river with the brownish hue. The color is due to the sediments like, fine particles of sand, silt, clay, along with other materials found in the water.

I use a back-up camera called the Eyeball. The camera goes on the back with a magnet. The TV view plugs into your lighter receptacle. When through you just turn them off, remove and stow. Glad you are on the road and Opie was a cute as ever behind you!

Check out confluence point on the Missouri side, too. Way nice and forested. No overnight camping, but absolutely worth the day trip. Chain of Rocks Bridge (Illinois side less likely to encounter break-ins)worth a look-see, too. Tip: buy your FOOD in Illinois (cheaper food and lower food tax). Buy your GAS in Missouri, but west / south / southwest of Saint Louis for best prices. Sales tax crazy high in St. Louis City.

Looks like the smaller class C rig uses less solar power than the class A and now you're able to collect enough solar power to stay even. The smaller class C was a smart move considering all the price increases on fuel. More panels! - yea!

Good to see you on the road, especially with your backseat driver Opie. All that trash in the firing could be from boaters since it's next to the boat launch. Either way I had to call the campground office, and told him to get someone to clean it up or refund my camping fee whether or not I intended to use it. It's the principle of the matter.

Eric, be careful how much tongue weight you put on your RV hitch, which is likely rated at around 300 to 500lbs max. That trailer has the wheels positioned pretty far to the rear, abnormally farther than most utility trailers, which can make the weight bias a challenge. Your trailer should have 10% of the total weight on the hitch to tow good and be friendly to the RV hitch. That trailer's wheel layout just seems odd, something you should consider as you make modifications inside, as well as positioning black betty inside. You don't want to add much weight to the front inside, given the extreme wheel location to the rear.

Just like what I am going through. Going to the lake of the Ozarks Missouri from Arizona next week. Leaving our mobile home and moving into our 5TH wheel for the summer. Oh so Missouri will be better gas prices, which they usually are. $4.79 here in Arizona. Felt pads for the screen and electrical tape on the latch. If your microwave is rattling put a towel around it and in a drawer

I have noticed that Tara's harness is not on properly. The strap that is opposite where you hook the leash should sit between her front legs. I don't know for sure if this is a major issue, but I would hate to have something spook her and she slips out and you can't find her.

This is a truly weird question about the Cats. I had a neighbor who walked her cat, Murphy, on a leash. She said he never did his business outside but waited til he got back to house to use his litter box. Is that weird or do Tara and Opie wait? I'd check with my boy but he becomes paralyzed with a leash...lol!!! Safe travels, my friend!

My guess is that it has something to do with not wanting to attract predators. Unless they feel the need to "mark their territory," they will only go where they feel safe (their own turf.) Outside, they detect other creature's scents in the area & don't want to "pick a fight." 😼😽

Have a safe trip. I too am going to set out June the 3rd. It is predicted for gas to go to over $7.00 per gal. This summer. I will be towing my small car. And just in the few trips I have taken That $4.12 per gal is a Hurter ! So crazy In Klamath Falls Oregon it got down to 20 degrees Monday night. The winds have also been horrible as we travel thru Arizona, Utah, Idaho and Oregon. Rain I can handle. Wind is the worst, not only does wind blow you around the road It also kills already horrible fuel mileage. Complaining aside the Nomad life is the very best!

2 reasons: The car has electric locks and (if) battery goes out, there is no key to open the door, and even my app won't open it. Secondly, I don't want mold from humidity - so now the open air and it gets treated like the shop with dehumidifyer.

Looking good Eric. I would suggest putting the motorcycle straps around the base of the handlebars. Putting the straps on the forks could cause them to spread and cause issues.

This particular class C is 24 foot long. Manuerving a trailer just requires a little training, practice and patience, like most things.
