The Mandovi River is the lifeline of the Goa state. This river source is Bhimgad (Belgaum district, Karnataka). Mhadei River flows from Dudhsagar Falls and Varapoha Falls. The river manages the ecosystem of the entire coastal area and is very dear to the fisher community and it is called as Mahadayi or Mhadei River which is also described as the lifeline to Goa State. Panjim city which is located on the banks of the lovely river is also the state capital of Goa. The river offers a great promenade and it has many cruises on it with boats, ferries, floating casinos along with cruise ships.
