Hey Cam, was in at the shop chatting with you about catchers yesterday and you pointed me towards this video. Your advice has been amazingly helpful both times I've been there and I can't thank you enough for the time and effort you guys put into these KZbin videos as well. I'm just getting back into playing goal after a casual 30 years off and this resource is turning out to be a lifesaver! You guys have earned a customer for life!

You guys should make an updated size comparison of goalie pads

This is awesome, especially as someone who went under a rock for a long time with this stuff. Would also love to see something like this concept going over leg pads across brands, what is similar, different, etc.

You can see Cam trying to hold back a joke when the sentence "it depends how deep you stick it in" was being said 😂

Had a hyperlite glove. I could use and catch. I wanted to try a warrior 6.0 glove and loved it. I went back to my hyperlite. I couldn’t catch a beach ball. Got to use to the warrior break. So protective also and it’s a Sr version. My hyperlite was pro custom with all the bells and whistles. Got to many stinger on my pro Bauer. Also my son switched to warrior after trying my warrior.

I'm glad you got the Brian's break correct. The 40° have always felt like a 590, even though some others label them incorrectly.

Cool thank you! Though we did say some of these are open to interpretation and how you wear / use them so ...

@InGoalMedia completely fair, but the way people classify based on "which finger closes the glove" is way off.

What break or glove do you recommend for a small adult hand?

The ccm 591 and 581 gloves have been the worse gloves I’ve ever used. I’d stay away from those if I were a younger/newer goalie. The Vaughn VE8 has been my favorite glove ever.

What brand/break is best for small hands? I’m wearing a senior Warrior GT2 and it is a bit too big. I tried an intermediate Warrior G6.0 and it was way too small.

I find my Bauer shadow fits fairly tight. I’ve only had it for a few months and I’m not on the ice as much as I used to so I can’t tell you how much it may loosen up over time. I have women hands so I’m in the same boat with most senior gloves being too big and all intermediate gloves being way too small.

Have you tried the intermediate palm in the senior glove?

@ I moved away from warrior as I didn’t find they provided a good quality palm. The glove just broke down way too fast for me.

Anyone know what the warrior GT pros feel most like? Warrior says they use a 70 degree break in them but that’s not an option anymore.

7.0. I've hard GT, GT2, G5, G6, G7. The standard 6.0/7.0 will feel the closest.

I have 2.9 591"special" but the pocket folds over just like the 580. I thought it felt way different than my true 590......could I have a mislabeled mit?

That’s why I can’t stand the 591 and 581 gloves. Almost everyone in the goalie community despises those breaks. Hopefully CCM just abandons that concept and goes back to normal 590 and 580
