I didn’t expect to cry over a show about the devil but this scene made me cry like a baby especially when you realize they were not being their characters here. It was just Tom and Lauren saying goodbye. I don’t know if anyone saw this but Tom actually asks “you ok?” at like 3:24 he mouths it to her and that’s why she nods and when he brushes her hair behind her ear, that’s Tom and Lauren saying goodbye and then they go back to their characters. I don’t think from his expressions that he knew she would break down like that so I thinks it’s beautiful that he made sure she’s okay. Such a beautiful scene and such an amazing show!

Had that moment of hers there. Holding someone for what you know is the last time, because I'd planned on ending my life only hours later. I'm thankful I was writing the email I was going to send out to about 100 people when she messaged me about an hour later. She was *never* awake that time of night. 1 in a million moment. Asked me how I was doing. Took me a minute to stop crying, and figure out what I would tell her. Told her "pretty rough, right now." She encouraged me to go back home, because my family needed me after my granny took a final turn for the worse. I wasn't there when my Papa died 20 years earlier, and I wanted to be there for my granny. So I chose not to do what I had planned so clearly. I went and took care of my granny for 4 weeks while she was dying, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, right there. And I was there in the moment her soul departed this world. We all were. I can't imagine what impossible grief would have been over my mother and brother if they had to hold up the sorrow of her loss AND mine. If anyone out there knows or feels that someone in your circles is losing hope, call them, ask them how they are. No matter what time it is, day or night. One soul showing they care might make the entire difference to bring them back from it.

I like to see it as Lucifer sacrificed being in his daughters life because he truly believed that he couldn’t let people suffer a moment longer. Besides Rory gave him her blessing to help those who needed it. Also he lived with his own “demons” for so long that he would’ve felt guilty for not aiding them as soon as he could.

And then chloe's heaven was to be in hell with Lucifer. Her soulmate. And they love happily ever after for all eternity. Its a sweet ending. Both of them can go back toe arrh anytime. Lucifer can carry her up and she manifests a new body so it's all good

I still can't wrap my head over the ending of this series. The writers (even Tom) keep on justifying that the only option for the ending was for Luci to go back to hell. He was forced to go back to the place that reminds him so much of the pain, betrayal, and trauma his family put him through. He was forced to leave the life he built, the happiness he found for the first time in eons. The character build up was pointless, they built his character up for him to end up like his absentee father. He was forced to leave the love of his life and traumatize their unborn child, maybe Trixie too who just lost her father and had to face the disappearance of another 'father figure'. Chloe does not even deserve to live her life alone raising two daughters just so they can prove how strong her character is.

Lucifer had to go back to hell, because it wasn't right to make souls suffer more than they already had. He had to work with them to release the ones that were ready now, not in even a few months, which is thousands of years in hell. He didn't go back to the hell he left. That hell no longer exists, either as itself, or as he perceives it. Hell is no longer just a place of endless torture, it's a place of redemption. It isn't torture for him any longer either, he now realizes why he was called The Lightbringer--he's meant to help the souls heal, so they can go to heaven. Rory had an amazing childhood, she just was very angry with Lucifer for not being there. In the end, she ends up helping Lucifer to realize his calling, when he helps her heal from her hurt. She said don't change a thing, because she recognized that it was the catalyst in Lucifer's own healing, and realizing what he was meant to be. Lucifer didn't want to not be there to see her grow up, but he recognized that it had to be that way, and he promised his daughter. Trixie was just fine, her uncle is literally god. Chloe doesn't live her life alone, she's surrounded by family (remember Amenadiel aka god is basically her brother-in-law) and close friends who help her a lot and are a big part of her life, and she's working with Amenadiel to make some major positive changes in the world. Lucifer's character build-up wasn't pointless. If you watch the series again, with an eye to how things eventually go, it's clear that it was always the plan. You see him growing as a person and having realizations, and they line up with where he ends up. It's not random at all, the ending all makes perfect sense.

Eve isn't immortal. Maze likely gave up her immortality when Eve died, so they could be together. The Silver City is part of heaven. Lucifer and Chloe would be able to visit heaven any time, and the others could have gone to hell to visit them any time. Nobody is trapped where they are.
