Ingredients & Quantity
Prawns (Shelled & Deveined) - 20 nos
Semi ripe mango (Peeled & Cut) - 1 no
Salt - 1 tsp
For Curry Masala
Freshly Grated Coconut - 1 cup
Dried red chilies - 4 nos
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Coriander seeds - 1 tbsp
Garlic pods (peeled) - 4 nos
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
tamarind - 1 small lemon size ball
Onion (chopped) - 1 no
Green chilies (slited) - 2 nos
Salt for taste
coconut oil - 2 tbsp
Method;
1)Shell and devein the prawns, marinate with salt, and set aside for 30 mins.
2) Peel & Cut Raw mango into small pieces, sprinkle some salt & set aside.
3) Grind all the ingredients mentioned for curry masala using water into fine thick paste.
4) Heat coconut oil a vessel, add onion & green chilies, and saute for 10 minutes till onion is light brown in color.
5) Add the ground curry paste along with residual water. mix well & bring it to a boil.
6) Add mango pieces followed by prawns, cook for 10 - 15 mins.
7) Check for taste and add enough salt as per your preference.
8) Serve it with rice, fried fish & salad.

No u cant

Grind the desiccated coconut with masala and extract the coconut milk. Add 2 tbsp of soaked rice while grinding so that the curry is not watery. But I would suggest using freshly grated coconut if you want to experience the real taste and flavor of goan curry.
