Goat milking. See description for details.

Advantage of a high quality milking doe. Milking the doe goat at near peak lactation. Productivity will still slightly increase over the next few weeks before leveling out for the middle of lactation, then decease as fall approaches. Video was shot with the phone in my pocket so please be kind, it's not the best camera work. I didn't get the cleaning of the udder on screen, first step after putting feed in the trough. This goat is well trained, no need to use a stanchion. Feed is 15% protein byproduct feed. Almost 3 litres of milk 2× per day as she is reaching peak lactation.

This is just an example of what can be achieved. Not all dairy goats are this productive and nor would I recommend that a beginner try to start with one like this, it is quite easy to ruin such an animal but this level of production is something that can be achieved with proper selection, care and experience.

Thank you for your comment. I have one that gives a better view of the hand that I posted 4 months ago when this doe was almost dry that might be helpful. It is the same doe at the end of her lactation cycle rather than at the beginning and her udder was not as full of milk making it easier to see.
