I am with you I have a problem with people who just think they should kill raccoons and possums. Yes, they eat the occasional baby chicken or a egg or something but I know at least raccoons are smart so the problem really is just people needing safer enclosures for their chickens And ducks. The benefits of possums probably far outweighs any nuisance. The only problem is possums, raccoons, and cats and concession are some thing that causes EPM in horses but more to the east of the Rockies than the west of the Rockies and once again, probably has more to do with people not having their hair put up properly I don’t know, your sanctuary is very great I love raccoons and possums

We’ve done it on a few of the enclosures and LOVE it. We’ve been debating weather or not we want to do it with our macaw aviary- their beaks would slowly peel off the paint as they climb it so it would be a lot of upkeep and we would have to make sure it’s something that would be safe for the birds. If you always have nuts or sunflower seeds for the B& G macaws when you go in the aviary they might decide they like you! wish the cockatoos could live with the parakeets and cockateils. Toldeo zoo has a aviary with all of the australian birbs its so gorgeous with all the finches the green parakeets cockateils diam9nds finches cockatoos its gorgeous Oh i miss my goffins cockatoos i rehomed them in az. ... when did u get a goffins? I had my cockateil jojo from when i was 6 till i was 28 your cockateils look like him! Y'all need more cockateils! Cockateils need more love and are one of the most rehomed birbs!!😢..

Haha unfortunately everytime try to hand feed Miko and Rika a treat- they either take it and drop it out of spite or go for my finger instead😂😭 Luckily- Fuego the Scarlet Macaw likes me tho! I do wish we could house the cockatoos and cockatiels together as well! Potentially down the road, with slow introductions and another massive aviary we would be able to. As of right now, the birds haven’t been acclimated to being housed either other birds so introducing them prematurely could result in some serious fights and injury. (lol super troopers) love that movie. have you seen it? and omg its my dream to move to Canada and have a farm. I want pygmy goats, mini pigs, llamas, and allllll the dogs! Id love to have some raccoons( I can hand feed and touch my babies cute lil paws in my moms backyard she has 3 kids), a beaver(they make the cutest noises) and a skunk! Nope! We’re a Goat Dairy and an Animal Sanctuary. So the goats are the only animals we breed. We do not breed sny of our exotic animals because they come from various rescue situations, and it’s incredibly difficult to find a home well suited and prepared for the commitment of an exotic pet.

You’re such a conundrum for me as I absolutely detest exotic animals being kept in captivity because it goes against every principle to their well being. I have advocated on behalf of PETA to get the changed but I will say that your attention to detail and knowledge and care is impressive so I congratulate you on your set up and wish you all the best.🤩🤩👏👏🇦🇺🇦🇺
