Not really into 'steam' in any big way but it's nice to see an old Steam railway station so well preserved AND still in full working order. Thanks for the trip Mr Walk keep em coming 🤩✔💯👍

Does anyone know when exactly during the later series of Heartbeat when the garage became Scripps?. Just wondering because I noticed when we visited the village in 2001 the garage was still named Mostyn's Garage and Funeral Services, which is strange because the character Malcolm Mostyn had left at the end of series 3 and in series 5 Bernie Scripps arrived as a funeral director (I think). Vernon arrived in 2001 after Greengrass had left, so I would've assumed he and Bernie had took over the garage and named it Scripps, but apparently the garage was still named Mostyn at that point, well it was when when we went there in 2001. I wonder why very few videos of the village appear from the 90s when Heartbeat was a much better show than what it became later on after Greengrass left. I know some will disagree, but there's no doubt for me that Heartbeat jumped the shark after Greengrass left and was never the same. It became too silly, too cliched, too soft and squeaky clean, no gritty and realsitic storylines, just a rose tinted part comedy part drama for the pipe and slippers Sunday night audience. When we first visited the village in May 1994 you could actually drive up to the petrol station pump, and we had a chat with two blokes that ran the place about the filming. We then drove to the train station and parked right next to the gate to the platform, know doubt you can't do that now (why?), and then drove to Greengrasses house and the owner mentioned they were there a week earlier filming a scene of his barn on fire.
