People using "podcast host" as a derogatory, like it wasn't a podcast analyzing basketball. Like he's not a former player. Like he's Isaac off the TD3 pod. Plenty of experienced, vetted coaches have sucked ass and done nothing to help. You want your franchise to take risks, go for big swings, and discover the new thing before its the new thing. Whether JJ does well or not, the idea of giving a young, hungry guy a chance is usually a good idea.

This is actually the best way to explain it. Jj isn’t the only coach looking at the data. You have to play with what you got. Itll be interesting to watch for sure. I just know that knowing lebrons history with his coaches JJ won’t have the luxury of failing before succeeding.
@inthatmood9350
@inthatmood9350 3 ай бұрын
@@XXnoblev2XXWhich NBA coach has had that luxury? Kobe played 20 years - 11 years he had Phil Jackson. And Kobe went through just as many coaches as LeBron has playing for 3 different teams and no Phil Jackson for 11 years and LeBron has played more years than Kobe did. Vogel has a ring and he keeps getting fired. Doc Rivers has a ring and he keep getting fired. Budenholzer has a ring and he keeps getting fired. Carlisle won a ring and got fired. Nurse won a ring and got fired. These are successful coaches. This isn't a LeBron issue or Kobe issue of coach killers. The NBA coaching job is a win or lose job even when you win a title.

People debating whether its okay or not for Lebron to use his power and connections to get both his Son and Friend into "high places" are missing the point lol. Like why are we surpised people will complain when both bronny and Reddick didnt actually have any sort of track record prior to this? For Bronny 1. Lets be generous and call him 6th man for a bottom of the Barrel USC team. 2. He is 6 ft 2. This right here lol. My old Coach told me if he got a call from someone and he says I got this Kid who is 6 ft 8 and above? Aint have to say anything else. If he is the same height as bronny or below that? You gotta list a ton of intangibles, he hustles, his skillset is developed etc. 3. Its whatever his dad is Lebron. Its in poor taste honestly letting his kid be dropped into the deep end in the NBA just to add another "historic accolade" to his career. Reddick 1. Why are we comparing Reddick to Jason Kidd??? These 2 are not on the same level of Prestige or planet of accolades? Reddick was the definition of NBA Journeyman. Not bad but good enough to be on a team. Literally no accolades. He also plays shooting guard? And was literally only know as a 3 point shooter. J Kidd is a 10x All star, 9 time All Defensive, 6 time All NBA team and 5 time Assists Champ. Plus he has a Ring as a starter. He also was known as a floor General? Ya know the thing that is also called the on court coach? Plays Point Guard? Its legitimate gripe cause he wasnt notable as a player. He has a Podcast with Lebron where he lets him say whatever he wants and agrees with it. And who lets be real put his kid on a Nepotism rocket to only the Lakers. If you Lakers fans or Lebron fans want a doormat of a Head Coach be my guest lol. My Older Brother is a Lebron fan and he said it dosent matter cause Lebron coaches the Lakers anyway. Bloody wild lmao.
@TylerWardhaha
@TylerWardhaha 3 ай бұрын
On the Bronny issue, there’s not a lot of potential in 55th round draft picks. It’s not like Lebron is hurting his team, but at the same time we have to be honest that Bronny is still worse than most 2nd round draft picks. It basically comes down do you think it matters a slightly worse player might be warming the bench. Personally, I don’t think it does. I think JJ has his work cut out for him. I was on the lookout for why the Lakers chose him and I think I saw why in his press conference with the GM, and that is his charisma and confidence. I think he was able to assuage their concerns and probably paint an enticing picture as him following the same path as Joe Mazulla and Steve Kerr.

JJ hates Kobe with a passion, no way he will work with Kobe and Lebron trying his very best to control the media narrative about how he is better than MJ and Kobe, doubt there will be any knowledge sharing if Kobe was still around. Heck, Lebron can’t even give credit to his all star teammates who carried him to his 4 rings, no way he’s going team up with Kobe, it’s always about Lebron and Lebron only 😂

Lakers wont be able to compete for titles for a long time. Some franchises make decisons to win titles, others just want to make money. Lakers will make a lot of money in ticket revenue drafting bronny and bringing in Reddick, but they are finished in terms of competing for a title for a long time

I stopped watching the nba over a decade ago because I couldn’t stand watching LeBrain and guys like him. LeBrain is a boring player but the thing that makes him unwatchable is his egregious petulant adolescent temper tantrums, that seem to be getting worse. How they find people to get excited by LeBrain baffles me! I can hardly wait for him to retire! Soon I hope?

People forget, shooting 50% from three is great -- even it's an open three. An open layup with no defense is a 90% shot. Even greater. You only take threes on the break if you can't get a dunk. I hope he drills that into them. (well, unless you're down and there's not a lot of time for a comeback)
