The Majors record you point out is due to more than half of their matches in majors being played on Clay. It is also important to not completely neglect the actual H2H, which is 30-29 Djokovic. Nadal is obviously the Clay Court GOAT, but Djokovic is the greatest Hard Court and the greatest Grass Court player of all time(yes he's better than Federer on grass). And then there's also all the usual records such as the Double Golden Masters, Most Masters titles, most ATP Ranking Points, Most Year End No. 1's, Most weeks at No. 1, Highest Peak ELO, Only person to win 4 slams in a row on three different surfaces(Nole Slam), Head to Heads, Most Big Titles, Highest 5 set win percentage among Grand Slam Winners, Most grand slam finals, Only player with 80 wins at every grand slam, only player to win 4 ATP Finals in a row, only player to beat Federer and Nadal at all 4 grand slams, longest winning streak to start a season, most masters won in one season etc. etc. The grand slam record is literally the only major record he doesn't have. I'm saying that once he breaks that record, It'll be almost impossible to find a meaningful line of statistical reasoning that goes against his GOAT case. For now Nadal may be the GOAT, but all I was saying is that once Djokovic has(or ties) the Slam record, there is no argument against his GOAT case.

Federer won the 2019 ESPY Award for the 2018 season. He did win the 2018 Australian Open, but that is all. Nadal won the 2018 French Open, as well as 3 Masters 1000 events, and Novak won Wimbledon, the US Open and 2 Masters 1000 events, including Cincinnati, which made him the first man in history to complete the Golden Masters (winning all 9 masters). There is no doubt that Novak should have won the ESPY award in 2019. Rafa won the 2022 ESPY award for the 2021 season. Novak won three majors and made it to the final of the fourth major in 2021, and he also won 1 Masters 1000 event. Nadal did not win a single major in 2021. There is no doubt that Novak should have won the 2019 and 2022 ESPY awards.

The other thing to add, these awards are not meaningless because they affect the amount of income a person can earn in terms of endorsement deals, sponsorships, tv adverts etc. By getting an ESPY a person could vastly increase their income. So effectively by not nominating Novak they robbed him of millions in earnings. That's the REAL reason this matters. It keeps Fedal wealthy while denying other more deserving players of money they could have earned from becoming more well-known to the public. The greed of Fedal knows no bounds.

I have never heard of this award, but seeing it is American these results make sense. I think that the ITF Player of the year is a pretty objective award. Being done by calendar year definitely makes it better to start off with, and they are generally based on Slams, Ranking, Davis Cup, Masters, ATP Finals in decreasing order of importance. I think the Davis Cup is given too much weighting personally which does favour some players from certain Nations, but it doesn't often lead to too much controversy. 2013 and 2016 are the only seasons in the past decade that have been that controversial, the first due to the heavy Davis Cup weighting, and the 2nd due to heavy year end ranking weighting.

I have bad news for FEDAL fans - Djokovic does not have to be perfect in every aspect of the game, but he is closer to perfection than the other two. I would say Novak is a shade better than Roger on hard courts and grass ( although his fans may disagree), and Novak is better on clay not only because he won more titles than Roger, but because he was able to sometimes stop Nadal, Roger was never able to do so, before every match between him and Nadal on clay, RF was already a victim.In comparison with Novak, Rafa is better only on clay.

Roger won the AO 2017 beeing 35 years old after out long time from injury beeing seeded 17 playing 2 5 setters on route vs stan and nishikori only to top it all off in a epic 5 setter in the Final vs Nadal. having vastly improoved his backhand. not exactly the smallest of accomplishments in my opinion. certainly debatable but I'm not calling this decision stupid. Roger went on to win wimbledon in 2017 without dropping a set. he certainly didnt look bad going into that summer.

The Stefan Edberg award is even more useless. The ATP comes up with a list of players that the players get to vote for. Since 2005, Novak has been nominated just once (in 2011). That just ONCE in 15 years of Novak’s career while he was ranked among the top 3 players in the World. Federer fans use the Edberg award as proof that among players, Federer is the most “loved”, but they forget that Novak could have only been considered once, way back in 2011.

I would say that Federer only has a claim to 2018. 2019 is just raw stupidity. 2017 is a bit tougher between Fed and Murray but Murray deserved it that year. Even though in 2018 Nadal won more than Federer, since this is a best player of the year award, looking at H2H isn't a bad idea.
