The opening was so funny!! Haha Thank you for this lesson! So, is this basically another alternative to -지만? What is the difference between the two? Are they interchangeable?

하지만 does not imply that you are surprised.

Thank you Billy for providing free pdf's. I studied Korean before I shifted to Japanese for my work. And now, I came up my mind and decided continue what I've started in my Korean. You're pdf's and videos are really helpful but my problem is on how to increase my vocabs. Could you please recommend any resources or much more extent than that, make a weekly list of vocabs for us? Other than that, don't you think studying two languages is too much? Please acknowledge my comment.

Giant Maknae You're welcome~ And I'd recommend focusing on one language at a time, since it's already very time consuming to learn even one language on its own, but this choice is up to you.

hi Billy. May I ask something? do you have a lesson about letting someone to do something or to be something? like saying "I want to make you happy or I want to let you know"?

This seems to get used a lot with quotations. "He said this but then did this". 저보고 집에 와 달라더니 오니까 자기가 업더라고요 You asked me to come over but when I came you weren't home.
@GoBillyKorean

Yes. It's used a lot in general, with quotations and in regular sentences.

Thanx for your videos! Is -doni always used as a kind of complaint? All the examples here had rather negative implications.

There seems to be a similar form to this that I hear a lot. ~~담에 it sounds like. People say it to bring up something someone said before in contrast to what they're saying now. Do you know what this grammar form is?
@GoBillyKorean
@GoBillyKorean 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I've done a live stream about that form before (and others). It was the live stream about ~다면서(요).

안녕하세요? 베트남 사람인 한국어 학습자입다. 영상을 잘 봤습니다만 궁금한 점 있는데요...혹시 이 문법 형태가 과거형으로만 쓰이는 건가요? 그렇다면 왜 4 번째 예문에 "잠을 자지 않더니" 대신에 "잠을 안 잤더니"라고 쓰지 않으셨는지 물어봐도 되나요?
@GoBillyKorean

형용사는 현재형을 쓰고 동사는 현재형과 과거형을 둘 다 쓸 수 있습니다.

Both are "grammar forms" but they have very different meanings and uses. ~더니 is not the same as ~데. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJ6pi4elob-isJo

What is the difference between 더니 and 다가 ?
@GoBillyKorean
@GoBillyKorean 9 жыл бұрын
+황리엘 다가 is a different form. It's used for saying "while." I explain it in my book, but I haven't made a video lesson about it yet here.
