It never ceases to amaze me. Many of us Africans walk a very fragile thin line between pride and inferiority complex. We balance between being steady, strong and easily offended as infants with toothache. Sometimes it is too painful and offensive for many of us to hear the bitter truth. We easily forget that we have strong opinions and experiences of Europe, America, China, Russia, and worse when we express ourselves about other Africans in between. Whether it is the neighbouring country, the northern part, southern, western, or eastern parts of Africa. We have strong opinions about different tribes, religions, and cultural differences in our own countries. Why...?? I wonder why diasporas can not be entitled to their own opinions, and experiences about Africa...!?!?

What exactly is "investing" in Ghana if you don't count how much money is being brought in for homes built/ land purchased? That money could have been kept in the west, but no it is being brought to Africa. It is being invested in Africa and the money helps Ghanaians to be in positions to invest in their own businesses, in their own homes, in their children's futures.
@kojok58235 ай бұрын
In as much as I agree with your first sentence (we shouldn't beg anyone to invest in Ghana), I disagree with the rest of your submission and the Nigerian senator. Recent actions by their government, the people's behavior and comments on social media point to the fact that PanAfricanism and being pro-black is not their priority. The American system thrives on consumerism, but African Americans can definitely be investors in Africa. I would rather have that than European, Chinese, Indian, Lebanese etc investors.
