Honestly it doesn't surprise me how well Legend has done in ranked. It's not only having a good deck that makes a great magic player but also having knowledge of your opponents decks. And if you watch his videos he almost always knows what to expect from the decks he plays against and that is what puts him with the elite players.

You can make the landbase less expensive by replacing 4 of the Rare dual-lands with the Uncommon Ancient Ziggurat, which works well because the only thing it can't do in this deck is activate Battlecry Goblin, which you're very unlikely to do without also casting another creature spell first anyway.

I also play a hidetgusu second rite deck so during the fifth match I was like: " Huh they are playing the same cards as I do and their play pattern is also VERY similar to mine..." And on turn 4 I was like "HSR would be perfect here, I would do the same as opponent there is no way it is also playing it..." XD

Been a huge fan of your videos for years now! You're the best MtG creator out there, dude. A question: why is this deck not playing Ancient Ziggurat? Literally every card in it is a creature. The only possible reason I could find is that Ziggurat can't provide mana to pump Battlecry Goblin, but IMO that's less detrimental than something like Haunted Ridge sometimes coming into play tapped. Thoughts?

I actually have a physical modern goblins deck. It’s a more combo oriented pile focused on the interaction between Conspicuous snoop and Kiki-Jiki to allow myself to make an infinite number of Conspicuous snoop copies to sac them to deal as much damage as I need to my opponent. It’s a pretty fun combo

gemstone cycling goblin is slightly inferior to munitions expert but lets you draw a card it also applies to all goblins on the field not what you control so if you got the 3 drop goblin that creates the constructs when you attack the opponent ( i forget its name) those factor into its damage when you cycle

It's more of a combo deck built around Muxus that occasionally has aggro draws.

I've been playing goblins for years across different formats, most decks being aggro (pauper, standard, commander), one being control (legacy), and another being combo (modern). I suppose I underestimated the power of historic, but this video proved me wrong. Very interesting! (if only you had aether vial)

I think Muxus is a broken card (specially because so many goblins have powerful synergies). I have been following your channel for a while (love the content btw) and from what I got you like to play fun combo decks that have unexpected tricks or a flavorful touch. I know that now you're playing more competitive formats and combo decks don't fit as much there. I just think Muxus is the end of fun in a game of magic
