yes...it's a learning experience...as long as we keep returning to prayer and asking for forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ the Lord has infinite mercy....reading the scriptures and being confident in knowing the lord is watching over us...satan likes us to be feeling guilty and wallowing in our mistakes and feeling miserable for things that have passed....the devil likes to see us stuck on details which produce ongoing details to cause suffering..the mature person living in the light of jesus christ does not ask themselves why they do what they do...they do not wonder..they get on with living and not bogged down in minor information...when we dwell on info we actually make a kind of agreement with satan and take on more troubling info....when we let go of info we are in the way of god and feel at ease...this is how it is...letting go is not just a buddhist way of living it is a christian way

Years ago as a missionary I was taught to be aware of the prophets and apostles contence when they spoke. I was taught that we could feel and discern if we paid attention to them as they spoke and realize they had recently had a powerful spiritual experience or even a visitation from the other side of the veil. This conference I felt that way about many of the speakers but especially Elder Uchtdorf. God lives and inspires His chosen servants to speak His words to his people.

But, when I listen and watch the LDS leaders, especially when they give talks in General Conference, I feel something deeper, sweeter, more lightfull (my word). I sincerely feel something in my heart (within my breast) and a chain reaction of emotion which causes tears to flow. Thank you Elder Uchtdorf.

How to be saved for sure - this is the gospel of salvation - 1 Corinthians chapter 15 verses 1 - 4 if you truly believe the gospel of salvation than you are saved and sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise till the day of redemption and nothing can pluck you out of the Father his hand. Only the blood of Jesus Christ can cleanse us from all of our unrighteousness. KJV-bible - 2 Timothy chapter 2 verse 15 - ''Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.''

As you may know, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches that we are all part of a great plan of salvation, a divine plan that was put in place by our Heavenly Father to help us return to Him and become like Him. And as I have been thinking about this plan of salvation lately, I can't help but be reminded of a popular video game called Among Us. In this game, players are divided into two groups: the crewmates and the imposter. The crewmates are tasked with completing various tasks and maintaining the spaceship, while the imposter is secretly trying to sabotage their efforts and kill them. And as I played this game, I couldn't help but think about how it relates to our own lives. We are all like the crewmates, trying to complete the tasks that have been assigned to us and do our best to return to our Heavenly Father. But at the same time, there is an imposter among us, a sinister force that is trying to sabotage our efforts and derail our progress. This imposter is none other than Satan, who is constantly trying to deceive us and lead us astray. And just like in the game, we must be vigilant and watchful, always on the lookout for Satan's tricks and schemes. We must stay close to the Spirit and follow the guidance of the prophets, so that we can avoid the traps that Satan has set for us. My dear brothers and sisters, I know that this is not an easy task. The path back to our Heavenly Father is fraught with challenges and obstacles, and Satan is a powerful and cunning adversary. But I have faith in you, and I know that with the Lord's help, you will be able to overcome any obstacle and return to Him. I leave you with this thought: as you play the game of Among Us, remember that there is a real imposter among us, and that we must always be on guard against his tricks and schemes. May the Lord bless you and guide you on your journey home. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Today we had this speech in our quorum lesson. Sadly no time to discuss, ask questions, and share. Maybe somebody can answer what if I don't have desire to “inherit thrones, kingdoms, principalities, and powers.” Does this mean there is no place for me in celestial kingdom?

It’s upside-down gospel speak. You know, like when “blessings” are really horrible learning experiences or “the greatest among you is the least”. thrones, kingdoms.... are, no doubt, not what you’re thinking they are.
@delliwink
@delliwink 3 жыл бұрын
I think that if we are designed to become “beings of glory and grandeur” that it isn’t necessary to have the desire for thrones, kingdoms, etc. I think that the most important thing will be returning to Our Father who loves us and receiving that acceptance of pure love. I think Our Heavenly Father would gladly plead for a place for you to come where you will feel like this is where you were meant to be all along.

I agree with you completely and understand. I too, have wondered where my place is in the Celestial Kingdom. I certainly do not fit in with the majority of the saints; and have no desire to rule and reign over others as sometimes promised. That is not the “carrot” that inspires me to change my life to be in keeping with the laws of the Celestial Kingdom. I am most comfortable with the “salt of the earth” types. I have come to terms with my feelings and have every hope there is place for me in the Celestial Kingdom. Christ says, “in my house there are many mansions.” I take his word for that. I can tell you that my mansion will not be in a row of look-alike houses. I believe that everyone has a personal mission that does not necessarily mean a life of service only within the parameters of church work. I find that as I fulfill that mission, it matters not if I am working in the Church or not. Church jobs are only a part of my life. They come and go. My personal mission has led me to many rich and fulfilling experiences with all sorts of people. I hope to continue my mission in the next life, and since I am 80, that might be sooner than later. Hey. Maybe we will rub shoulders one day.

* I'm a Mormon. It's uplifting when we can convince others that how we think and feel is correct and fosters personal happiness. But no one likes what I have to say about the church. And I'm not out to be liked. I believe the Scriptures not man. And if something is taught that can't be verified by Scripture think twice about believing it. I understand why so many people are leaving the church. Many false doctrines exist causing countless videos mocking Mormonism. False doctrines like Mormons becoming gods of there own planets, Adam helped create the earth, Christ and Satan are brothers all of which no Scripture verifies. And many are leaving the church because if you don't fit the mold the church leaders sculpture you're not a part of the click. Mormons believe the church leaders over Scripture. The zealous believers have the church leaders in mind with everything thing they think say and feel testifying to impress others how much they believe the current church leaders are God-inspired. But the Scriptures reveal the church leaders are the problem with the entire planet. For example, in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 we are informed of a person revealed as the son of perdition. This son of perdition sits in the temple of God making himself God or above all that is called God. Therefore, if the Mormon church is the only true church, and I believe it is and will back that belief using the Scriptures, then the only person 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 could be talking about is the current Mormon prophet. For what other church is the one and only true church with temples? And Joseph Smith taught a son of perdition can only be a church member holding all the rites of God's priesthood and using the priesthood against God as did Judas. Therefore, who else other than the current Mormon prophet could the apostle Paul be speaking of? It's as plain as the nose on a face. And even God in the Doctrine and Covenants tells us about the current church leaders and how displeased He is saying the end of this world will begin among them. (D&C 112:23-26) And the current Mormon prophet is the son of perdition because he has all the saints believing God our Heavenly Father was created by a being greater than Himself. (Hebrews 6:13) Therefore, the son of perdition has all the saints breaking the first commandment God gave Moses, Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Does it make sense to reasonable thinking that God would command we have no other gods before Him but really there are? Does He not want us to know this? There’s a reason He commanded to have no other gods before Him. Because by believing in false grandpa gods the saints believe our God is an infinitely lesser God putting Lucifer before God. And the moment we put a god before our God, our God becomes an infinitely lesser God. Not only that, our God also becomes a liar. He and the Scriptures says He is the greatest of all. He and the Scriptures says He is the Most High God. He and the Scriptures say He created all things. And in the Scriptures He says over and over there are no gods beside Him. (Isaiah 44:6) (Isaiah 44:8) (Isaiah 45:22) (Hebrews 6:13) Therefore, the saints believing there are gods before Him is the saints believing the son of perdition or the current Mormon prophet over the Scriptures and God calling Him and the Scriptures a lie. And Isaiah warns, Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20) The saints call the son of perdition (President Nelson) good and good (Jesus Christ) evil. Because President Nelson says Christ and His Father are liars. President Nelson says Christ did not create all things. (John 1:1-3) Matter/energy cannot be created or destroyed the scientists say therefore the son of perdition or President Nelson says the grandpa gods created these calling Christ and the Scriptures a lie. Well did Abinadi warn the wicked king Noah and his priests, Have ye taught this people that they should observe to do all these things for to keep these commandments? (Mosiah 13:25) I say unto you, Nay; for if ye had, the Lord would not have caused me to come forth and to prophesy evil concerning this people. (Mosiah 13:26) And what is the commandment Abinadi taught that the people do not obey? Thou shalt have no other God before me. (Mosiah 12:35) Know ye not that I speak the truth? Yea, ye know that I speak the truth; and you ought to tremble before God. (Mosiah 12:30)

I love the teachings of the Prophets today, because their teachings bring light, and hope, and goodness. Their teachings bring me closer to Jesus Christ. This is the last dispensation, God has again blessed us on earth with Prophets that reveal His will, and we can receive a personal witness through prayer and study. I know that God lives.
