Makes me think of a truth from the the movie Ground Hog Day where the main character owns up and says "I am a jerk". He knew from day after day of his ego-self's behavior that beyond a doubt, left to himself, that he was no good. He hit rock bottom and took on a new self that was mostly selfless. Great show!

Sir, it is a nice presentation. God bless U. I am from India . I wish such programme in Hindi. I have studied many books of Swedenborg, Inferno of Dante, Jakob Lorbers, Sadhu Sunder Singh, Peter Hans. Wonderful information about Spirit and Spirit World, I could comprehend. Really valuable knowledge. But I find that Christians in India do not believe on spiritual knowledge except what said in Bible. God knows fate of such believers. But your work is appreciable. Thank Lord for bringing this light on us today. Lord God will take care of everyone I pray. Lord God touch everyone's heart and fill with His wisdom and peace.

Hello Parameshwar! I am sorry that our resources are limited, and at this point we can't translate all our shows into Hindi. Maybe some day! Sounds like you have been digging deep, and have found information about spiritual reality that resonates with you. And yes, not everyone feels comfortable outside a strictly literal interpretation of the Bible. But you're right -- God knows all about them, and is pouring his love and light into every single being, leading them with whatever means he can use. We believe that he IS taking care of everyone. Blessings to your searching mind and compassionate heart!

It's funny because when I talk to or message my children, (who are all in their 30's now), I call them angels because of how happy my heart feels when I think of them. We truly already know these things, we just see things through our physical eyes and not our spiritual eyes... Just needs that shift in our perspective. I love the new format! Curtis, you make your ideas so understandable and logical. The metaphor of the Sun as God brought to mind the thousands of exo-planets now being discovered around other stars with some of them being in the habitable zone, that goldilocks distance from a star where it is not to hot and not too cold, but just right for liquid water to exist....and life. Could this analogy make sense with respect to being exposed to just the right intensity of God's Light? Too close could be blinding or greatly uncomfortable, and not beneficial. But too far away and spiritual growth is slower than optimal. And what actions move us closer or further from God. I'm glad to see your inclusions of many religions as Sources of spiritual attraction to God. If you judge people by their fruit, then it's obvious that people with the sweetest fruit can be found in all religions. And you're right that the human ego is the enemy of spiritual growth, that all good is from God. And yet, the civilization we live in teaches the opposite. Egos need to be nurtured and people are taught that their accomplishments are due to their own efforts. So people become proud, or they feel depressed if they feel they haven't accomplished much in the eyes of the world. Am I remembering correctly that Swedenborg mentions many, perhaps infinite, communities in heaven? Maybe this corresponds to a spiritual "habitable zone" for people depending on their maturity?
@offTheLeftEye2 жыл бұрын
Hello Harlan! Love the "Goldilocks zone" metaphor. And the reminder that "by their fruit you shall know them." And it does seem that the world could use some help in finding some sense of self-worth without being swallowed up in extreme self-reliance or self-obsession. Yes, there are an infinite number of societies in heaven, according to Swedenborg. In a couple of places, he talks about the fact that we all just go where we can breathe. That seems to allow for a lot of variety in the way people receive and practice God's goodness and truth. So nice to hear from you! Hope you'll enjoy the rest of this new series!

@@offTheLeftEye Hi Curtis. I taught school for 36 years and it just came to me that we have to find kids', or adults, "teachable zone", not too intense, and not too light, just the spot where they can connect and learn. This is a very powerful message. I love this new format. I've come away with the awareness what makes Heaven, in a concrete way. My take away from this lesson is I can start living the culture of Heaven on earth, by accepting that all good and truth comes from the Lord. Nothing can and nor will exists without the Divine. I don't have to wait until I am in Heaven to accept that all goodness an truth come from the Lord. It is actually more beneficial to accept this truth while still here on earth school for once we cross over it is more difficult to grasp this knowledge. The biggest take away is the insight that I can do more loving and kind things for people in order to bring more love and happiness into the lives of others.

It is about becoming an instrument for God. We get there by seeking Goodness and Truth united.

I love the explanation using the model figures and boards. I cannot thank you all enough for your effort in explaining these vital subjects. As I type this now, I think you must not want the appreciation much since it all comes from the lord. I am just so very thankful that my angels have pierced the veil of darkness for me through multiple steps and ways- first through my own experience with a medium that confirmed personality persists after death. Followed by angels literally bringing the book "silver birch anthology" into my life that explained the core spiritual truths. Lastly then finding this channel and thus the work of Swedenborg that took those truths and expanded them far beyond what I had previously understood. Nothing exhibits in a vacuum, and this goes for truth as well, we all need to receive the lords light only as much as we can accept at the time, but the more light we let in the more room is made for even more amazing love and truth to enter it. mahalo nui from maui

Amazing! Loved the illustrations and animations! 🖼️🥰 I have an question... God is always referred as Father, Lord, as Him! I was thinking... since God doesn't have a defined form and is pure love and wisdom, it's okay to call God with femine pronums like Godness or Mother? I don't know but for me it's easier to see him as someone that is always taking care of us as mother than a father, but it's probably personal, since I'm much more emotional connected with my mother than my father! Thank you! ❤️
@offTheLeftEye2 жыл бұрын
There are many people who have that same emotional connection, Caio! God is really above gender, it seems to me -- like you say, pure love and wisdom. We use the male pronouns because Jesus, the incarnated God on earth, was male. But I think it's interesting that Swedenborg's concept of "the Grand Human" -- the shape of heaven, in the image and likeness of God, corresponding to all the uses that humans serve -- includes organs of both genders. And another thought, from a Swedenborgian perspective, is that truth and goodness always go together, and the TRUTH part tends to be the visible part, while the LOVE part isn't. And often (but not always) Swedenborg aligns the masculine more with truth, and the feminine more with love. So maybe that has something to do with the tendency to see God as male. But God is PURE LOVE on the inside -- and outside and all around!
@Caio.NSouza2 жыл бұрын
@@offTheLeftEye Thanks for the very detailed explanation! ❤️
@offTheLeftEye2 жыл бұрын
@@Caio.NSouza Yes we are trying to capture the Infinite Creator in a few letters and words. There is no way we can describe all of the qualities. If I were to try to describe a person I love in even a hundred words or a thousand it would be inadequate. How much less can I describe God in a word that has limits. God created us both, male and female in the image of God. That tells me that feminine aspects are in God as well.

@@offTheLeftEye I always had the classic image of God in my mind, you know, the old man flying in some clouds in the sky ordering people to do certain things or they will go to hell! So i feared him because if I don't follow they bible literally literally i will be punished... but rediscovering God in the Swedenborgian perspective is very comforting, it got from some type of divine ditactor to a lovely father / mother! You lost me at minute 21:30...... because....... I don't believe there's such thing as pure good, or pure evil. In every good there's a little of evil and in every evil there's a little of good. That's just how I see it. And "goodness and truth", as Swedenborg says, is also acknowledging that fact. (This is my opinion). If heaven were just pure good, as Swedenborg says, it would be boring as hell. That's why today I believe not in a "one God" which only contains good, but in a "dual God" which contains in Himself both the good and the evil. You'll get from God exactly what you are..... if you're mostly good, than God will come to you as good. If you're mostly evil, than God will come to you as evil. And so I don't think an egocentric person will be left out of heaven just because he/she is an egocentric person (as was the quoted example), because that's just too demanding standards from this God, who won't allow even a single stain of evil to enter his heavens - when we all have in ourselves both the good and the evil because, well, we're humans. No one is perfect, and that's a great thing, to be honest. There's so much puritan religiosity in Swedenborg and it kind of turns me off.
@offTheLeftEye2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing your perspective, Josué. We agree that while we're in this world, we are all a mix of good and bad influences, and the purpose of this life is to make our choices in that arena. The way Swedenborg tells it, when we get to the world of spirits after our bodily death, we "sort" ourselves out, and discover what's in our deepest core, and that takes us to our eternal home. There are all kinds of levels in the spiritual world, so that everyone can be the person they have truly chosen to be and they will be where they can breathe. Swedenborg describes heaven and hell as being quite distinct... But it's true that even the angels aren't 100% pure -- only the Lord is that. Swedenborg describes angels having "evening states," when they're in less-pure mindsets, and he describes eternal spiritual growth -- which means there still has to be ways that we can change and grow. Thanks for adding to the conversation!

I went to a beautiful place because the synthesizing tones peek off to a heavenly beautiful pitch. I could aways at will reach these states with a little help but always with that album or similar songs by them. It is a frequency and pitch that brings one to a higher dimension. The prayer that Jesus taught us says "as in heaven so upon the earth" We can be a vessel for heavenly actions, and that brings it down to earth.
