My father wrote a couple of songs recorded by Daniel. I get really irritated when singers and record companies put out videos and recordings lacking credits. Songwriters play second fiddle on social media. The public now put the recording artist down, instead of the writers. Daniel gave a nice plug here. Good song, well done!

@@inverross9019it's wonderful to see songwriters being appreciated. But it's all been a learning curve for me. It's all very new ...to be fair I found Daniels team excellent for ensuring all the information was collected and I got some great advice also . Thankfully I didn't experience any problems . But to be honest since the beginning of time it's always the singer and the song It's up to the songwriters to follow up on their dues and do the legwork. It's just always been the way it's done are your dad's songs registered with your pro like imro or in the UK I think it's prs for music ? If you don't mind me asking who was your dad or which songs 🥰

@@reginamcdermott9026 His name was Stewart Ross, and he wrote 'My Bonnie Maureen' and lyrics to 'Dark Island'. Sadly Daniel picked two sloooww songs, a shame he didn't go for the up tempo songs her wrote.. so the least popular of Daniel's really. What really irritates is Spotify creating Google pages headed Song and Lyrics by eg. Daniel O' Donnell. Same attitude with Tiktok etc. AI is spouting out wrong information. Always insist that digital distributors give full details. On some of my father's works they are sometimes wrong, or missing. They are a pain to get to and get corrected. I feel like Canute trying to hold back the tide.
