Keep the faith. Find a healthy support group for wives and if your husband will attend SA meetings encourage him to do so. Surrender to Christ. Your marriage will be stronger than you can believe. I have a boyfriend who experience the rejection and so much trauma from childhood, he is so struggling and cannot love people properly and question his faith in Christ. It is not Scriptural to say I need not attend church if I do not feel like it! We are urged to meet together and worship in the body of the believers, and so to encourage one another. We are also to sit under the teaching of God's Word, as part of our worship. Please see this comment as a gentle correction - I really love the CS Lewis based teachings!😊

We should not forsake fellowship with the saints, our brothers and sisters in Christ. That may or may not be attending a brick and mortar church building. I assumed that’s what he meant. I could be mistaken. The early church was dynamic in that they met in homes and wherever they could worship because we worship in spirit and in truth as Christ is in each of us. We are temples of the Holy Spirit and it is indeed wonderful to meet together, sharing, worshiping, encouraging others one another in Christ whether it be in a building or somewhere else.

Does not have to be in a building. Could be a home Bible study. Those mature in Christ can read scriptures as Christ lives within us. Christ never asked his disciples, which means learners and followers, to go to a bible school and pay lots of money for it being taught by men. The word says we have the Holy Spirit to teach us and guide us. The head of the church, which is believers, not a building, is Christ Jesus. Blessings. We can come together in any setting. ❤
