Love me or I'll set you on fire. Forever. Next time you start a relationship, try that and see how it goes down. Christians fall for it all the time, but what they don't realise is that this is a threat. No other word for it.

Yes, if left alone and uninterfered with we would do bad things. For example, when i child is drawing on the walls, you don't let the child go expecting him to suddenly start cleaning it up. The child must be punished and shown that his actions were wrong. We should not do good out of fear. Read my other comment.

There may be no ultimate accountability for each individual person in this world. Justice systems are far from perfect, and sometimes punish the innocent and let the guilty walk free. Even if religion is not true, it still instills a desire to do what is right, a fear of doing wrong, a hope of ultimate vindication or reward, and a fear of everlasting punishment. Is there something wrong with that?

If there's one thing I've understood about the Xian religion, having been a Xian, and now an atheist, it's that the biblical god was one cruel, sadistic, insane Psychopath. Only a vindictive, insane being would invent an eternal torture chamber, promise to send us there, then pauses and says..."I love you!" Can anyone imagine seeing & hearing that from such a being and call it sane & loving??

One thing I don't accept. If you believe the bible is a fairy tale you may go around making you comic shows anywhere and threaton children with hell. But if you believe the bible is true, than the threat is real, so I don't see who gives these people the rights to deliver threats on behalf any gang leader. The issue becomes a serious one.

this is a terrible argument...God doesnt send anyone to hell for not loving Him but for their sins. God has 2 important qualities: love(he recognizes that) and holiness(he fails to recognize this).

I really don't care what LaVey satanists do as long as they don't hurt anyone, btw who has caused the most suffering hc-satanists or christianity and islam?. Atheists don't belive in that crap.
