Hebrews 12:11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. in fact theres suffering that is not a consequence of sin or disobedience Hebrews 5:8 though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. God does discipline us. He is very patient, but when His kids persist in sin, He cares enough to provide adjustments. That does not mean every challenging thing is discipline. The speakers direction for what to do is solid, regardless of the reason something is allowed in our life, and all challenges handled as such will result in us being more prepared.

I think we can be redirected... however rough that might be... when the rug was pulled out from under me, I got ill, my partner died, all my pets died, we lost money and possessions and I have no real friends... don't speak to family, plus I was nearly homeless... and as horrific and stressful as all that was... I did think that God was just redirecting my path and I've found good things in that... my anger and bitterness comes from what my family/other people did/do to me... God placed me here safely, but I am totally alone... scary... but what God did to me, I can see the good in it, the growth and healing I am going through... we aren't here to do anything but heal and grow and grow closer to God Jesus Christ Holy Ghost... amen.

That's what I say all the time. Folks want to blame God all the time! Most of the world is rebellious and disobedient, then they want to cry, complain, and blame God for the results. He gave us a guidebook (our Bible). He didn't leave us in the dark. He set before mankind two choices. Most of us want to "see for ourselves". I prefer not to learn everything the hard way. But often have to live with decisions I didn't make or that others made. That's the hard part.

We are not always supposed to accept. There's a devil fighting us, the devil in people fighting us, our own sensuality fighting us, consequences of sin fighting us. Many times our situation has nothing to do with God, God's will, & God allowance. We just need to start submitting to God and resist the devil. When we think our situation God allowed when it is not will you open up ourselves to all kinds of evil.

I had a horrible mother. She had a boyfriend who did horrendous things to me. So many bad things happened in my childhood and I always wanted to know why God let it happen. When I was about 30, my husband told me that God did not give me the mother I had to punish me, but to bless her. Even after everything she did, I forgave her constantly, honored her, and helped take care of her. About 15 years before she died, I had to step away, because she was doing terrible things to my children and grandchildren. I still loved her, but she remained an evil women until the day she died. Sad, but living with her taught me so much and made me the woman I am today.

That’s interesting, thank you. I do tend to seek first a deeper understanding for my souls journey. A reason, if you will, because I truly believe everything happens for a reason, there’s always a lesson. It does hurt sometimes and you can’t help but wonder, or allow those thoughts to enter your mind from time to time. We are, after all, but of flesh. But our amazing Father, God….in all of His infinite wisdom loves us far too much to want that for us. It’s important to remember He overcame for us, and THAT is whom I shall serve.

The big problem with this is why would god choose to make a child suffer with abusive parents, or for chose for a woman to get assaulted, or chose a man to suffer the horrors of war. Many individuals are simply trying to live, yet get thrown this messed up monkey wrench. Those aren’t “learning experiences” those are traumatic. It may not be gods fault (ie satans doing) but how is any of that necessary to grow?

For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.” It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. Besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live? For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness. For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Count it all Joy strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying that through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God. Define "emotional abuse". That's definitely enough information to go on. You really need to go speak to someone with facts: length & type of courtship, length & type of marriage, your & his age, how you got married, ethnicity beliefs & family's behavior on both parts play a role. What is his family like: education, beliefs, religion or not. So many variables are in this. Please find someone skilled in martial relations to speak to. What's triggering this response? What is causing his distress in his life? Does he handle the challenges of life very well? How does he deal with life's challenges? So much to look at. 😢

Adam and Eve were exiled from the Garden of Eden after disobeying God's command to not eat the fruit of the tree of Knoledge of Good and Evil, and the whole earth inflicted with the curse of sin, corruption, Death, pain in childbirth, and thorns and thistles. David's first son with Bathsheeba died as punishment for his sin of murdering Uriah and adultery with Bathsheeba, and all of Israel was punished with a 3 day Plague that killed many men, women and children as punishment for David's census. Moses was punished for hitting a rock instead of talking to a rock, and was denied entry into the promised land. The people of Israel were held captive by the Moabites, Philistines, and Midianites in the book of Judges. The Isrealites were also exiled for 70 years to both the Assyrians and Babylonians, and never regained sovereignty over the promise land until 1948. Saul was punished by having his kingdom ripped away from him because he did not utterly destroy the Amalekites as he was commanded. Solomon was punished by having 10 or the 12 tribes of Israel ripped away from the his son Reheboam because of his many wives and his heart leaving the LORD. Jonah was punished for not obeying the word of the LORD and fleeing to Tarshish rather than preaching God's word to Nineveh the evil city and was swallowed by a whale. Ananias and Saphira were killed struck down by God by lying to the Holy Spirit and the Church of God. It seems to be clear that God hates Sin and will punish sin with death and Hell (Rom. 6:23) But His son lived a perfect life and made a perfect sacrifice to pay the penalty for sin of death and Hell. Giving us the gift of everlasting fellowship with LORD God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ. However, to think that God himself will not still punish Sin that he does not hate sin is Heretical. For God says: "Therefore do not let sin regin in your mortal body that you should obey it in your lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall not have dominion over, for you are not under law but grace shall we say then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, wheather of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?" Rom. 6:12-16 1John 2:3-4 1 Peter 1:15-16 1 Cor. 3:11-17 1 John 5:15-17 These verses make it clear that God will punish sin, whether or not we are saved, for there is sin leading to death and sin that does not lead to death but still sin that will be punished either here on earth or after the earth has passed away we will still be judged are faith is certain but our judgment is not. And to say that God does not punish are sin but gives only consequences of sin is a desperately wicked lie or desperately confused person. The reckoning of sin is not certain David lay with Bathsheeba and it costed him the death of his son and war in his house, his son raped his sister Tamar, and another son Absolom went after hisThrone, the chastisement and penalty of sin are by no means certain. Furthermore God clearly states his punishment: "My Son do not despise that chastening of the LORD, nor detest his correction; For whom the LORD loves he corrects. Just as a father the son in whom he delights." Proverbs 3:11-12 Now to be clear there are sickness and death and disease that is given as a burden and as a test of the lord examples see James1:3-5 and Job and Jesus healed a blind man not because the man had sinned nor his parents but to show Christ's power. Not all hardships come as sin but all hardships should bring us to our knees and make us ask and plead with God if there is any wicked way in us that we should remove. Also the idea that God the maker and Creator of the Universe the I AM that I AM would care three figs (or 1) over a man-made law and concept of double jeopardy is likewise desperately wicked or desperately confused. 3 things are possible this man is a wolf, this man is confused, or This 60 second clip fails to capture the entire context
