To know that most people got to care/know about Thor after he entered the MCU, it's cool and all yeah but actual Thor wasn't like that at all, like most Gods in movies

The thing is, gods, all of them, in their respective mythology, are among the biggest assholes. Some like Zeus being actual rapists and mass murdering tyrants, so it's no surprise that they undergo drastic changes when translated into mainstream media. Now, regarding Thor, I don't know which variant you're refering to. If Marvel, then it is a different topic since his comic self is just as different from the norse mythology as the movie version.
