While Ragnarök improved the gameplay & enemy variety, God of War 2018 was the better story - the father-son dynamic was done so well, immersive dialogues & world building, all the subtle hints to Kratos’ past, likeable side characters & quests, plus Baldur was a brilliant & beautifully tragic villain.

Also Kratos feels and plays much stronger here than in ragnarok with the sound fx and visuals looking and sounding much better too. Overall this game conveys the feeling of GOW more within a self contained story whereas Ragnarok kinda felt like a pseudo GOW mixed with a shitty subversive marvel movie with a lackluster "ragnarok" and underwhelming villains and bossfights. Losing all of the potiental, world building and lore built up and established within GOW 4. The way the stories told by Mimir of Thor and Odin made you think they absolutely ruthless and intimidating threats whereas they were actually somewhat sad and pathetic and once again underwhelming

I remember being so excited when this was announced back in 2016.. and then again when it released in 2018. It's 2024.. how has so much time passed so quickly.. seeing this appear in the feed once again brought back a slice of that excitement from 2018. Thanks for the upload.
