He learned the patterns and tendencies, there are actions that trigger certain moves from enemies, he was prepared in case they threw those things at him, shield it's already up on, and on 2:27 you see the first one blocked, this ice bitch always throws 2 ice balls, so he blocked the first one, and he automatically knew the second was coming so he parried that shit like a boss. That wasn't something new to him, he probably died a million times before to sneaky shit like that, but he was not sorry, he got better

I was talking about the first frost shot. It was lost in his spear runic attack, but somehow he can still see it and put his shield up in time. That’s what makes him different.

Doing it during group boss fights is much easier, than those groups of enemies like Draugrs, wulvers, etc because if you don't parry one of their attacks, then the other hits you just during the dodge animation, making it impossible to NOT get hit. But parrying disrupts their attack. Till now, I've found out boss fights are way easier than the other group fights, because not even reflexes can save you until you understand that parrying yellow ringed attacks is the only way.

In an otherwise flawless game, this fight annoyed me the most, the big fireball/iceball has amazing tracking, your only option is to destroy it. Which involves dodging the main boss thats constantly in your face and then getting a second to actually throw a projectile at it. You're really top tier for pulling this off!

Jesus Christ you’re insane. I’m always amazed at your gameplays. On a side note, I just finished DMC5 for the first time. It was my first DMC game. I never knew how much depth there was to the combat and how difficult it is to string combos together in a satisfying way. So this battle took me about 20x tries on my first day, got dizzy, my legs were numb and my fingers were hurting. As soon as I got close to killing them I get killed. 2nd day about 8x tries and I was so dizzy and my eyes were so fixated on the screen that reality seem blurry. And this guy does it with ease.

I got past like 3 berserkers at lv 5 and all of them took me dozens of attempts and irritated me. Then I came across the 2 berserker battle in svartalfheim where they would kill me in like 2-3 hits and just decided to wait till end game to take on the berserkers and it was a good choice because some of them were done in 1 try after I had end game materials.

I know a lot of people like the old combat of 2018, but I really do think that some of the fights, and some of the combination of weapons allow for a wider variety of combat options than 2018. This fight really reminded me of the double boss fights in Nioh 1. The concept is there, you see what the devs tried to do, but the combat system isn't really cut out for these types of fights. Especially when all of them are super aggressive and, for the most part, only focus on Kratos. The reason the double Valkyrie fight is one if not the best in the game is the fact that it really feels like a 2vs2. One focuses you, while the other goes after Atreus, this way, you can focus on the enemy ahead knowing you won't get constantly sniped from the side. And that's the flaw, it quickly goes from "fun hard" to "tedious and downright annoying" hard. This is not how you increase the difficulty. This perfectly brings me back to Nioh. I can't count the amounts of times I died because the bosses behaved like their normal selves, meaning they'd attack nonstop, without mercy and end up comboing your ass straight to Mars. Wanna know what solved the problem? A companion who takes heat away from you. Having a buddy quickly made a few of the worst designed and thought out boss fights into a few of the most fun and intense fights I've every had All in all, speaking from experience, my god, do I even wanna know how many attempts this fight took? This fight made Orphan of Kos look like childs play, yet Orphan of Kos was actually a fun and high stakes fight

My work around for fighting the Berserkers and Gna multiple times is to make manual saves right at the beginning of their fights. You're allowed 60 manual slots so I love using boss fights to warm up since I can't play as often as I like atm. I also use the manual slots as a makeshift chapter select for sections of the game I really enjoy running through

@@classyxpert It’s 78 hours, keep in mind I received an early copy 1 week before release :) I made the most progress in terms of gameplay and mechanical skill during my second playthough. Maybe 10 hours spent in Nifheim training to learn each and every move and what they do to the enemy. 👍

I prefer the berserkers tbh, mostly because of how the parrying mechanics for Dauntless shield work in Ragnarok. 2018 valkyries were stopped by a single parry, berserkers have constant attack patterns that you need to learn and find openings for.

I did it too on LV.4 No Damage on GMGOW + no spear, i even recorded a video (if you would give the honor to see it, be welcome anytime, i'm a huge fan of yours on all your videos, especially the insane Doom Eternal ones), but i realm shifted Svipdagr and when the time was frozen i hit the blue sister which is weaker to fire with the blades that hits faster, so i killed the sisters then i just realm shifted Svipdagr until she died while in the battle i was using the perks to deal more damage on last second evades (the Alfheim Strike). The set i used was the Radiance one, with the Dauntless shield equiped with the Rond of Restoration (which was useless since it was no damage and i haven't figured i was doing it). Thank you for your videos, you are by far the greatest player of games i've ever seen
