Mati I would like to tell you that before starting GOW 2018 you have to play GOW ascension (I don't know if it's the correct spelling😅) Because you won't be able to connect to the story after you play 2018 and Ragnarok

Cool thing to note is Kratos "died" on a bird visage. This is meant to represent a phoenix, who rises from the dead, much like Kratos rises from his "death".

Kratos kills himself to release Hope to the human race. This is his last "f*** you" to the gods as he saw Athena, an Olympian, trying to take power to possibly enslave humanity once again. With hope the humans will no longer need the gods and they will be forgotten, putting an end to Olympus once and for all.

i dont really believe that Kratos only did that for just that... especially since that the God's aren't really different from mere mortals aka Humans... you're still equating them to a pedestal that the Gods thought themselves above and beyond especially the Evils that were supposed to represent that, but those Evils served as an allegory to which it became paradoxical against the Gods especially Zeus who put all those Evils inside the box...

That was another perfect light bulb moment cause you realize why Athena changed so much from the first game to the third. Athena, like all the other gods, was affected by the darkness and with her death she was completely changed.

Don’t think anyone has appreciated this trilogy more than you Mati. I worked with Cory Barlog (who directed a couple of these and started the new series). You would really make him smile man. He took a big risk on the modern games. Pretty bad ass that he pulled it off. Very different vibe but the DNA is still there.

With Aphrodite's garter, it lets you use the Athena's blades for the whole game instead of the blades of exile which you get after falling in the river Styx. I get the confusion though😂. Great series, I can't wait for 2018

Uffff, you are going to love the Nordic games in the saga, they are just as good as the previous ones, in case you are interested in knowing more about how Kratos arrived in the Nordic lands, I highly recommend the comic "FALLEN GOD", there are only 4 issues and they give you a lot to know how Kratos arrived, and if you want to know what happens before the 2018 game, there is another comic that is titled "GOD OF WAR", and it has the new logo, and it is a small adventure that has Kratos with (spoiler) his son, of the same 4 numbers that only he contributes as Kratos (spoiler) radically changed his attitude and so on... Thanks for playing this saga, it's my all-time favorite!

Ok, so there is a four volume comic you can find online and read at your leisure. (I did find a free version). It's called "God of War: Fallen God." It's not much, but it does give an explanation as to how he survived!.

There was 2 games that I think you forgot to play. 1st was before GOD OF WAR 1 which is GOW Chains of Olympus and 2nd was before GOD OF WAR 2 which is GOW Ghost of Sparta.. those 2 games also have a big role in this story.. Man I love the God of War series. My favorite game franchise of all time. If you thought Kratos was popular before, it skyrockets even more in the Norse games. Phenomenal games. Looking forward to seeing you play them. Even if you don’t play them on stream, I hope you try out the 2 psp titles on your free time. Great games also. But imagine playing this game when it came out. We’ve been on that cliffhanger ending, not knowing if Kratos was even alive until the 2018 game was revealed. Couple things to know. There is a prequel comic or 2 that briefly takes place before the events of 2018. It doesn't explain much but it gives a few answers that the new games don't talk about or give answers for. If you wanna go into 2018 completely fresh though like we all did, I'd advise waiting to read the comic until about halfway into the story of 2018. Anyways, the OG trilogy was and STILL is amazing! I can't wait for you to start the next journey with Kratos!!

Realising all the evils inflicted on the world, Kratos makes the correct decision in not trusting Athena as whenever he trusts in a god they would corrupt, releasing the power of hope into the world instead of entrusting it to a single entity, the only thing that could've restored what he did to the world, amazing game and ending.
