You can tell Kratos has a lot of respect for Tyr for everything he's heard about him. This has the same feel as when he was training Deimos and was like " You are a Spartan, ARE YOU NOT!?!?" That also shows that Kratos is a natural mentor, trying to make the Norse god of war snap out of his trauma by reminding him who he is.

On a replay it's so obviously Odin. - makes Tyr look like a total coward and not what he was shown as in GoW 2018 - smacked his head on a door while running because he isn't use to being that tall - is completely speechless when they find the shrine that showed Odin and asgard being destroyed.even pushes Atreus to move closer - insults or belittle every plan they made - calls Freya Frigg when they first meet up - he calls Atreus Loki multiple times without anyone batting an eye - gets alittle pissed when Brok and Sindri admit to taking back Drapneir - asked Kratos what he saw in the light, cutting off Atreus mid-sentence - and suddenly he was ready to lead an army Brok died the smartest character in the entire series. Simple inconsistencies that Brok picked it up because of how much he focuses on the details, just like he would while smithing

If you want to see a cool hint at “Tyr” being Odin. Look at the subtitles, whenever they are talking to who they think is the real Tyr, the name is read as “Týr” with the dash above the y. But because this is the fake Tyr aka Odin in disguise, his name when he himself speaks is just “Tyr” and not “Týr”. Very subtle hint lol. And at the end of the game when you meet the real “Týr” his name is spelt correctly as “Týr”.

still doesn't make sense how Brok noticed it wasn't actual Tyr. Atreus clearly tells him in the first encounter that the giants call him loki. So it was normal Tyr or Odin was calling him Loki. Yet Brok was saying how he knew that name. If only Odin could keep his cool and play along in that scene later, but yeah, all things had to be in favor of the protagonists.

Brok didn't say how do you know that name, Brok asked why he was calling him that name. In Sindri's house everyone knew he was called Loki but only called him called him Atreus, Odin had a slip up and called him Loki instead of Atreus. Odin had been spending some time with Atreus before this and had been calling him Loki not Atreus. This little slip up probably wouldn't have been noticed but it added up alongside other slip ups like "Tyr" somehow knowing a way to Asgard that Brok & Sindri didn't know about despite "Tyr" having been locked up for a very long time & also "Tyr" saying he'll collect his things despite arriving at Sindri's house with nothing and having no possessions since he never collected anything else after being locked up. Too many things ended up being fishy with how Tyr behaved, if he just said Loki on it's own with no other suspicious behaviour Brok might not have picked up on it.

@Malik RomanHe lost one. After the Loki gave birth to Fenrir, the aesir took custody of the wolf to try and avert Ragnarok (Fenrir was supposed to kickstart it). Thing is Fenrir was fukken huge, and fairly smart, so locking him up would be nigh-impossible without trickery. IThe plan was to ask Fenrir to play a game. He would be wrapped in chains, and then he'd have to break out. Considering this is Fenrir he just snapped the chains without even trying. Until the last set that is. Those chains were imbued with magic to make them unbreakable. But Fenrir though something was up and demanded someone put their arm into his mouth while he was being chained. Tyr, who was on rather good terms with Fenrir accepted. The chains were placed, Fenrir couldn't break out, the aesir refused to remove the chains, and Tyr manned up like the absolute gigachad god he was.

Part of the twist, yes, but also explained in God of War 2018. Tyr managed to travel between pantheons and visit different cultures, acquiring relics, treasures, and murals from all over--including wine from Kratos' homeland--stored within his temple in the Lake of the Nine. Presumably, Tyr actually did have reasonable contact with the Greek pantheon or, at least, Greece.

This whole rescue seemed a bit anticlimatic when I was playing it, i thought to myself "This is literally the most famous guy of this pantheon and Odin has him locked away on a random mine in Svartflheim being guarded by some guards? It doesn't feel right, the Odin we've heard about is the most paranoid person in all the 9 realms, knowing him he would've had Týr in Asgard being guarded by like 50 Valkyries and Thor himself" I dismissed it because perhaps it was easy to find him because everyone thought he was dead and Atreus did learn about his survival thanks to a secret shrine, but after that final revelation this whole situation takes a vrand new meaning, such a fantastic twist

The Norse god of bravery and war. He placed his hand in Fenrir's mouth when the gods bound the wolf with a enchanted thread, because the wolf was suspicious that there was a trick. Tyr's offer of a hand "if there was any trickery" calmed Fenrir, and when there was in fact, trickery, he bit off Tyr's hand. Tyr was the third strongest god as well, if I remember correctly, after Thor and Magni.

The plot twists were amazing and the choice of voice actor was, I feel, on purpose( to imply something is not right with Tyr). I have played basically every game save Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta and Ragnarok has brought many mechanics which were not present in the previous game. I feel both 2018 and Ragnarok are amazing and fortunetely most people think the same. I mean some people hated on the 2018 game as well but that doesn't change the fact that it is amazing.
