God of War II: Courtyard of Atropos (Part 2)

If anyone here for how to open the gate and collect chests.. .. just follow this... Climp up, use lever and open the gate first, Take spear, defeat enemies amd then drag that green orb time (use to slow time) near those green and blue chest where you came from. Use L1 +R1 to slow time and quickly go to that platform which triggers the spikes gate... as the time is slow, the platform go down slowly and you will be able to enter and collect those chests... when you come out, the platform again triggers the gate.

This was definitely one of the most frustrating areas in the game. God of War II has some massive puzzle zones, so you're doing a lot more trial and error than the first one.

How did you get the shield

After your first visit to the courtyard, there is a boss-fight with Perseus. Once you defeat him, you get the shield. You then go back to the courtyard and place the shield in the statue. It took me forever to figure it out. If you watch the video before this one, you can see how I did it. I hope this helps. This part of the game was somewhat frustrating.
