I love that for all the "man, young Kratos was a real piece of shit" both games going on, the DLC also went out of its way redeem young Kratos as well. That he wasn't just an awful person doing awful things even if Kratos views himself that way now. He had grown to hate his old self and swear to never be that person, and never let anyone else be like him, but so much more damage was done when he tried to just run away to break the cycle. It only all ends when he finally turns around and loves himself and who he was just as much as he denounces him.

Last time i ever saw a macuahuitl in a character action game was Marlow Briggs and the Mask of Death. Though ironically, not by the main character. He used a transforming triple-bladed scythe. Also Clash: Artifacts of Chaos, though that's more of an action adventure beat-em-up with customizable movesets (assigning special attacks and styles) than a Character Action. Main character there can find lesser macuahuitls, bit the big one is used by the main antagonist, a multi-headed monster woman whose heads are slowly dying off, which is what leads to the conflict being set in motion.

“why does who you use to be matter more than who you are now? Can’t you see how far you’ve come?” That hit me right in the chest, ever since god of war on ps2 til now I’ve played and watched all of them, I’ve related to kratos in many areas of my life, been that monster and ruined everything. I’ve been growing and trying to be better for a little while now, seeing the guy I’ve related to more than any other character in my life also doubt and question and try to be better, it makes me emotional but when mimir said that, It hurt because just like kratos i know how far I’ve come but I’m always worried that one wrong move and I’m back to being that terrible person who hurts everyone and destroys everything for my own selfish reasons. I know this is gonna be one hell of a journey and I’m glad I’m watching it from your video. You make good content

Being a man is strength and having the wisdom to know how to whield they strength without hurting everyone in the process. Have hope and trust in yourself to lead others to a better future. I honestly love how they did Tyr, showing how different he is compared to when Odin was pretending to be him. Even with the idea that Tyr was mentally destroyed by Odin's torture, this showed Tyr is much stronger than anything Odin could have thrown at him and would never back down from a fight. He was a peace-lover, but would not shy away from combat if needed, and knew how to kick butt. Odin really did basically mock Tyr when he was impersonating him.

It's possible we will play as Atreus next, because continuing with Kratos slaughtering different pantheons after this arc... doesn't really make sense.
