This has been on my radar for a while, and thanks to Sam's review I will be buying this a lot sooner.

When you play solo, you play as Kratos, Atreus and Mimir together.

the rule book definitely needs some clarifications. it's very unclear about the order of operations with player's turns and how attacks work imo

How many different scenes are there?
@chrisc16254 жыл бұрын
If I recall correctly, there are 5 or 6 and 3 or 4 bosses which have their own scenes. It's a fun game, but you lose the puzzle element after you play a scene. You'll know what to do and where to go to get bonuses and healing.
@TomRauhe4 жыл бұрын
@@chrisc1625 very helpful information, thanks so much for the info. Are there mechanisms to make it harder once you figured out the scene or is it hard enough as is?

4 bosses and 6 quests. You can change the quests around to get different hindrances, or add a quest hindrance to the first quest just cause. Most should be challenging, but if you are playing solo, then as long as you play it smart it’s fairly easy. You can still win or lose based on luck. Sigrun imo is the funnest scene
@antoniomolina36124 жыл бұрын
İhsan Yeniçeri Chris is right in the respect that it’s easier after you play it the first time because you lose that surprise element and you know what’s coming. But not by much. Sure you can plan a strategy accordingly, but the opponent is still there and he didn’t get weaker lol.

How many times will you play a scenario? Once you have solved it out is there really a reason to play again? Also - Is every play of the scenario that different and the decisions you make? It's solveable which makes it a one-playthrough game...
@antoniomolina36124 жыл бұрын
You can change your strategy to try and make it more efficient the next time around. Other than that, the play thrus are the same, except that the way runes are activated are randomized so you never know for sure. Plus you can play as other characters lmao
@zacdredge3859 Жыл бұрын
I honestly can't fathom what Sam sees in this game. The gameplay looks really drab and shallow, the artwork is literally screen captures from the video game, with identical imagery on every character card. There's also no figures for the few playable characters; graphic design is the only redeeming quality of the production. I guess if you've never played RPG's the gameplay may not seem that bad but it's really just the most basic version of the conventional combat system found in every RPG ever made. The double use of runes triggering NPC's while creating your deckbuilding option is a neat little mechanism but the enemies themselves being so boring and the cards being generic number values for the most part means you could probably have the same depth of gameplay with a few custom dice in place of this entire system. Also wonder if the hindrances are just there to keep you from stalling on a given scene against one weak enemy and hoarding new cards in the process. At least with only 3 events to clear for a "campaign" the game doesn't stay around too long.

Loki is a villain in the Marvel comics and films, but his role was not as clear-cut in Norse mythology. There are many instances of his being both an ally and enemy of the Aesir (Asgardians), as befits a trickster god. He's a god of boundaries, both physical and social (similar to Hermes/Mercury): he's the only one who gets away with insulting the Asgardians, makes Thor dress as a woman for a plan, and even shapeshifts into a being that gives birth. He is intimately tied into Ragnarok, but it's worth noting that many of the surviving tales we have now may have been heavily edited by Christian authors to create a stronger good vs evil parallel.
