As for Kratos, God of War 6 has the potential to be incredible. God of Hope now has the opportunity for redemption. Save a pantheon please. With both Kratos and Tyr being cross pantheon dimensional its only natural that we explore that concept. But you guys do what you need to do.
But guys thank you. We hit 20k which is insane. I don't know what I'm gonna do for a subscriber special. I'm not gonna do a goofy speedster tierlist where I add nbc heroes and cyberpunk edgerunners. Clapped shows. But we'll see.

i got a game recommendation for you: boring man online tactical stickman combat. it's a 2d sidescrolling stickman shooter inspired by those stickfight animations from the newgrounds and flipnote days, and it's one of the best games i've ever played combat wise. there's really only one issue: the playerbase is practically nobody.

This dlc feels like more of "You're not your past kratos!!!1" and im honestly kinda tired after the absolute generic hollywood plot that Ragnarock had

Yeah the plot really needed that Kratos/Atreus relationship to be good, and luckily it was, because basically everything else felt slightly underwritten to me

Ragnarock's story definitely wasn't perfect but its not "generic hollywood plot." Its a generic open world game plot. But the characters are a lot more realized and with dynamic relationships. Kratos's arc also shouldn't have only been one step and then ended. Because that would've been lazy. I think its a good thing that such a huge change in character was spread across 2 games. I'll talk about the games more some day. Thanks for watching too

@@RSG200 What I mean by hollywood movie writing is that it feels like a generic movie plot, at least the other gow games had the greek tragedy thing going for them, but here it feels like you could completely remove the setting and the core of the narrative would remain intact. It feels like a bunch of professional writors didnt want to make a gow game but were forced to, so the story ends up feeling like some family drama movie, not a god of war story. Im also sick of all the "why kratos has become the greatest character in fiction" videos completely disregarding the fact that the prior games also had a good story, but now its good writing because he's had a son and isnt bad anymore and the game does the thing where the caracters spend 3 seconds thinking every time they say a word during cutscenes, and we all know, how good the writing is, is directly proportional to how much time the characters spend pondering and doing nothing in a cutscene. I think the problem is how ragnarock feigns maturity, and because its a ""mature"" story people jump on the train that its a good story, and sure while it is technically good, it doesnt have any wow factor and uniqueness that the old games did.

This dlc is literally kratos coming to terms with his past and understanding that his actions in the past had more to it than just plain black and white. How tf do u get the “ur not ur past!!1!” Shit from valhalla when they literally walk you through all the good and bad deeds kratos has done in the past?

My only complaint with this dlc is that the actual content is in the very beggining and the very end. The rest of the runs you attempt and fight the boss are meaningless as you don't learn anything new or meaningful but instead repeat the same dungeon a bunch of times with 1 or 2 at best new dialogues that are vague and usually not even about Kratos. It's quite the slog to actually reach the story rich ending unless you waste atleast 6 hours replaying the same thing of content given with an eye dropper and scattered in the middle of the game. Every run should have been like the start, where Kratos actually contemplates and realizes what he did wrong why he did so and how to redeem himself since this whole journey is about just that. Instead now only in the very beggining this happens and then we're kinda half hearted led to believe the dungeon re runs that have little to no content compared to the start have any contemplating effects on Kratos which is nonsense since it's the same content atleast 5 times of nothing happening other than some old enemies appearing and nothing else.
