Last night before leaving to an Atmosphere concert I played God's Bathroom Floor, knowing there was no possibility of hearing the song that night. After Slug dropped some of his amazing songs he shouts the the crowd... "Let's see who is really old out there... This one is 20 years old." He then yells... "Head, Pressure, Senses, Clutch, Date, Divinity, Wouldn't, Fuck, Touch, Hazy, God, Change, Rush, Floor, Life, Veins." I recite the lyrics word for word with Slug in utter shock that he is playing one of my favorites. What an amazing concert and performer.

Man, I've been here so many times in the past few years.. I've never struggled with hard addiction, but my best friend became addicted to H shortly after his mom passed.. I always hear this song in his perspective. I'm always trying to get him on a positive and clean note, but I understand he's struggling personally and this song always helps me get into his perspective.. I love it and I hate it.
@Joseph-R5 жыл бұрын
I don't deal with addiction myself, but my best friend went off the deep end after his momma passed last year. He went from smoking a bit and having a few beers to non-stop doing H, selling his belongings to get more H and lying to his family about it. Since then, I can't stop listening to this song and I put all faith in my best friend in his ability to curb this addiction and get his life back on track. I miss his constant laugh.. something I haven't heard from him in months.

I've had way too many of my old friends get hooked on heroin. Lost one of those friends already and a good friend's long term gf just passed away from an overdose last month. To be honest, I have yet to see any of my old friends beat those demons, heroin is an absolute bitch to conquer from what I see. We all make mistakes and my heart and prayers go out to all addicts. If you're dealing with an H addiction or methadone/pills in general, you need to put everything you have into beating the addiction for good. It's not easy but it's possible. Good luck everyone and god bless.

The night he died I bet he thought he did his normal issue but somehow didn't wake back up. And I do that shit so I get a lot of stuff clean ppl don't. So I don't wanna hear about him not being a junkie so sorry if it gets you bummed. Its a matter of fact. Personal that's why I feel so close to him. It takes nothing away from his talent, if anything we should appreciate him more. to make it threw the day let alone still be so special

Don't get me wrong we all infer our life experience onto music and the interpretation we take from each song. So for all of you that relate addiction to this song if it helps then awesome. After reading so many misguided comments on "Slugs' meaning to the song i thought I'd link an interview in which he breaks it down, (link below for anyone wanting the original source) -I HAVE TO ASK, WHAT’S, “GOD’S BATHROOM FLOOR,” ABOUT TO YOU? Slug: That was about fatherhood. That was about trying to embrace the fact that you can’t be a fucking idiot that you’ve got to make sure to take care of your responsibilities, and realize reality, confront reality. Even though I wanted to just run around and like anybody else, just be high and enjoy myself, and have a good time. That song was about how I had to embrace fatherhood and embrace the fact that I’ve got to be a workhorse. I can still figure out ways to have fun and kick it, but I can’t be somebody that they find passed out on the floor. www.thewordisbond.com/exclusive-depth-interview-slug-atmosphere/
