No, having God call us out of our depravity, regenerate our dead hearts to hear the Gospel and giving us the effective, salvific faith to believe in Jesus Christ as the redeemer of our souls through his forgiveness of our sin based on his life, death , burial and resurrection sins is the best experience he provides for us in this world, until our complete sanctification and glorification in the new world to come. Our love for him is hollow and fleeting and cannot be trusted. Warren's messages of "purpose" is unbiblical and an insult to God's revelation to us that we were created for good works.

I feel that God's family is everyone on earth... not just limited to the church. He wants us to love everyone, even our enemies. I feel that many non-believers choose to depart from Christianity because they feel a division based on beliefs. Loving those who have different beliefs is exactly what Jesus did. I love this message and The Purpose Driven Life book. This point, however, has stuck with me based on my relationships with non-believers.

My farther in law had cancer 11 years ago. At the time he was leading a big evangelical campaign in the Netherlands. The doctors gave him weeks to live. He was prayed for by his friends and was completely healed. Now he has cancer again and will soon be in heaven. It is a very strange experience to of had years added to a persons life. A huge blessing and peace as he prepares to go. One of his friends said that some people see their cups half full and others half empty but few get to say like David that their cup overflows.

The purpose of this life on earth is for the Gospel Message. All biology/creation points to the Gospel, how? Biological/Physical life on earth continues by the male planting a seed within the female. Romans 1 says we can see God's Plan/Spiritual Life in Creation. Jesus Christ is the Bridegroom, the Male. We are the bride, the church, the female. Jesus Christ, the Bridegroom, plants the Gospel Seed within the heart of the bride. All Creation points to the Gospel Message. I think of him often, because he acted more like an older brother than a 'male " aggressor; Can't quite find the right word there, and you might say God simply led me here, instead ? He suggest I come there to visit but I never could get there on a Sunday morning; He said he "knew" this pastor was " a man of God, for real'. Being a sometimes hypocrite in some ways, and a master procrastinator, I surely (apparently) NEEDED to hear this today? I would love to speak to pastor Rick Warren sometime, about a "disturbing" dream I had, that later, after assembling of hand-written scribbles, became a song. Happens to me often. but THIS one was ALARMING , disturbing, and seem to be a WARNING? Those SEVEN drum beats...repeated, then the pattern of three, and knowing that I hate loud noises, especially loud DRUMS...I really did SHOUT out to the Lord..."Why me? Why are you doing this to ME?" I hope to hear from the pastor, and hope he HEARS my question within the song..of all the LOUD confusing warnings I received. "The Great Awakening" (The Song)' by Lynda Faye The sky went black in the middle of the day; A storm came up, but it would not rain.. A masterful voice came out to sing,- Sang "Welcome to the Great.......Awakening !" Two: The lightning flashed and thunder roared, Four angry horsemen drew their swords Trumpets blared to the beat of drums. Fire rained down, on everyone! (Three) I screamed to the Lord, " What have we done?" Why such pain for everyone? The angels sang, "You're not to blame" Welcome to the great.....awakening. That scripture is describing discipline and that whatever is bound on earth is bound in heaven, you are taking it out of context and it does not make sense the way you are using it because God is always in our midst, he lives within us.
