Men and women are equal in different ways. What this man is preaching is not sexist or misogynistic, it’s a testament to Gods love for women that he makes sure they are spiritually and physically protected here on Earth. I pray the men of God receive the true intentions (and truth) of this message to be able to bless all the women in their lives.

Around 40 mins in this get pretty confusing with all do respect. Man was equally part of the fall. God spoke to Adam also. Your interpretation of what the verse means is not coming together very well. I for one, have not one problem with a man being the leader in church, home, marriage, etc. So how do you explain those of us who have raised our children to love God and live by his standards, and become widowed who wake Morning after morning with the desire to serve God as HE is leading? It is God who puts the desires in our heart to serve him. But according to your interpretation we are wrong. I thank God the Holy Spirit is the one to follow. He can not lead us wrong.

"As in all the congregations of the saints, 34 women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. 35 If they want to enquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church. 36 Did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only people it has reached? 37 If anybody thinks he is a prophet or spiritually gifted, *let him acknowledge* that what I am writing to you is the **Lord's command***. 38 If he ignores this, he himself will be ignored." 1 Corinthians 14:33-38 (ANIV) . As it is the Lord's command, that is the end of all rebellious arguments, for they run opposite to what the Lord himself has commanded. The authentic humble "Daughters of Sarah" will be eager and pleased to obey. The rebellious daughters of the "Devil and his angels" will contend to do the very opposite. For they have come under the curse of God as has St. Paul has well warned they would be. " That's why God will send them a powerful delusion so that they will believe a lie. 12 Then everyone who did not believe the truth, but was delighted with what God disapproves of, will be condemned." 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 (GW)

People don’t realise it’s very difficult for a woman to function properly when the man is not stepping up. With the burden of trying to make up for what the man is not providing spiritually for the family and then her trying not to be the leader but being in two minds because someone’s got to lead the family if he’s not ....and doing all of this with no support or caring from him... it’s impossible. Better to be born a man... it’s all just very depressing. Didn’t God give women a brain also ... as well as a mouth? It also seems that some men just delight in arrogantly rubbing all these verses in women’s faces - not being sensitive or matter of fact. Instead when discussing the subject in some of these videos I notice their grimaces, frowns, weird looks, patronising or arrogant tone of voice and ridicule - even the thumbnails -they’lll make a snarky weird face.... and this is supposed to be ok?? I wonder how many of them actually love their wives sacrificially, humility, gentleness and kindness doesn’t seem to be high on their list.

My question is how can you separate a Sunday school teaching from my regular service teaching why do women allowed to teach in the Sunday school where my 12-year-olds boys and a 30-year-old sister teaching young man a biblical truth and that generation will grow up assuming that’s the normal in theChurch and I think she’s taking authority over other man who can and should teach and over those young man who she’s teaching.

Is MacArthur really saying that woman's savior is a man? Her human-only man? She needs a 'protector and savior' he keeps saying. Not Messiah, "savior". This is frightening to me. My husband who was unfaithful, beat me, and kicked me downstairs when I was 7 months pregnant was supposed to be my "savior"? I'm very glad he is not. Jesus is my Savior, thanks. Also, I do wish he would clear up the whole idea that Adam was not deceived! Did not Adam taste of the fruit? Did Adam not sin? If Adam did not sin, then he should not be cursed! I supposed MacArthur thinks Adam's only sin was letting the woman "rule over him". She 'enticed' him. She did not rule over him. She tempted Adam as the serpent tempted her. And: Did not Adam START the blame game they both played when God asked them what they did? He blamed the woman, the woman blamed the serpent. So, here we are, MacArthur is saying that Adam is only used generically suddenly when talking about the fall or sin of ADAM. Wow. And women CAUSED the fall of the race? Wow. Dude. Get over it. We - both men and women - have fallen, not to mention the snake who is cursed to eat dust all the days of it's life, etc. I have no problem with letting men lead. Go for it, I don't want that responsibility. But blaming the woman for the FALL OF MAN is staying in Adam's dodging of his own part of the fall. Was he not also cursed by God for his sin? Explaining that somehow "salvation" is really only about stigma? Women are still stigmatized. Sure she has pain in childbirth. And men till the soil by the sweat of his brow that brings forth weeds and nettles. God given roles are great! Yes, raise Godly children. But when you have a man out of control, beating his wife and children, she's supposed to see that as "salvation"? I would not. I totally agree that women should be holy not sensual and enticing men. That's bad. But to say that bearing children gives her salvation, oh, but not THAT salvation? That's quite a leap. What about barren women? Isaiah 54:1 "“Shout for joy, O barren one, you who have borne no child; Break forth into joyful shouting and cry aloud, you who have not travailed; For the sons of the desolate one will be more numerous Than the sons of the married woman,” says the Lord." Why would that be written if giving birth is a woman's salvation? Then how do women get to heaven? Her husband is supposed to save her? Her children are supposed to save her? So confusing. I thought Jesus Christ was our Lord and Savior. Men as the leaders in the home and in public church, no problem. But women saved through childbearing to get rid of the curse that God handed to Adam, then Eve, then the serpent all being boiled down to Adam's first lie: it was THE WOMAN YOU GAVE ME, GOD who did it, that is a mistake. When will MacArthur get over this? Admit only that Adam is as cursed as Eve. And the snake. All cursed. All fell. All fall short of the glory of God. Make the man the leader, let the women follow. But stop repeating Adam's responsibility dodge (for did not God tell them BOTH not to eat of the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil?) by repeating Paul's weirdness with this. "After all, it was the WOMAN who did it!" There is no salvation that I can find if I continue to blame others and don't own my own sin. That is not different because you are male. In fact, I think that's seriously dangerous as God holds the men accountable for being leaders in the home. If it's always the woman's fault (or conversely for feminists out there: always the man's fault) then there is no repentance for the sex pointing the finger at the other sex.

Man's curse here on this land states that the land itself was cursed forever til. For man never had to yield labor to the grown to provide food, for it was plentiful and provided for him, so that his attention was set for other things. Yet man will now always labor for food. And woman will bare severe pain at birth and cover her head.

Susan Carpenter You’re right Susan, John missed the fact that we don’t know 11 authors of the Bible. And being raised by a single mom, I know God gave my mom the power to leave my abusive father. And he probably doesn’t know the famous evangelist Aimee McPherson, as a single mom, who created 30,000 church’s worldwide and the founder of the Four Square Church that’s thriving and growing tremendously in the US and around the world. She even catapulted Billy Graham’s ministry...God can use anybody even a child to exercise his authority and move His Kingdom! John 3:17 Jesus came to save, not to condemn. I do not judge anyone, I know roles are important, but our cultures have changed...too many men fall to sin and greedy behavior, I believe it’s the women in the church that will again lead the way for next generation of Christians to rise up! The woman pastors in the Four Square church are building up leaders and teachers of all races and all ages.

I agree with alot of this, however prophesy is the spirit of God so there are definitely female prophetesses still. God doesn't change. That means if women have the gift of prophesying in the OT, they still have it and they still can get on stage and prophesy. Prophesying isn't teaching. Deborah took leadership when no reliable man was available. Also the fall of man didn't happen because of Eve. The bible says man fail because Adam ate the apple, not Eve. Romans 5:12-13 When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. Yes, people sinned even before the law was given. But it was not counted as sin because there was not yet any law to break. Eve wanting to control the man was part of the curse...not the reason for the curse.

I agree with John Macarthur all the way on all the other topics besides the topic of women preachers. I believe God is an equal opportunity grace provider. He give his grace both to man and woman. Theyre both gullible. Man is equally as gullible as woman and woman equally as gullible as man. God created man and woman gullible. That way they could hear God. Since they were and are gullible, satan was cunning and capitalized on their naevity. Satan was watching both of them and was waiting to see who would come his way first and when it did happen, it just happened to be the woman. So he deceived her. If the man would of gone there, satan would of deceived him. The only reason why apostle paul said women cant preach in church is because at that time, the church was in its infancy. Women tend to be more fun loving and us men tend to be too serious and boring. So again, at that time the church needed to be taken care of with seriousness until it would grow more. So, apostle paul said that women should be quiet in church because he and other men just needed to focus on ministry. Now that the church grew exponentially it doesnt matter who preaches. Besides, the bible does mention of prophetesses doing the will of God. So, you cant say women cant preach. Sure they can. Me personally, I love learning from women. They are the bread and butter of society. Joyce Meyer is an awesome preacher and many came to know the lord through her ministry. If she brought many to the lord that means God is with her. So please dont say women cant preach. God bless

If this God of yours wanted women to never lead and always submit, he wouldn't have made women who have a talent and natural inclination towards leadership. Also, he would not have made naturally submissive men. If you force a natural leader to follow, you are making him/her very miserable, no matter what the advantages of following are. It is not easier for them to follow, because it goes against their natural inclination. Likewise, if you force a naturally submissive person to take up leadership, it will just stress them out, no matter what the advantages of being leader are. It is beyond stupid and ridiculous to force people to enter roles that go against their inborn temperament and inclinations, as things work best when everyone is in the role for which they actually have an aptitude. Dominant and submissive roles are a thing, gender roles are not (they are imposed from outside based on a superficial characteristic, they don't stem from the person's psychological makeup).

Carmen Savu: You have to realize that Macarthur's message to women is this: Just because you can doesn't mean that you should. He doesn't grasp the concept of shared power. He thinks that any woman that desires even a little bit of power is a raging feminist that wants to control men. This is nothing but paranoia. He thinks that just because a woman wants to do something besides have babies and defer to men that they are outside of their bounds. Not all of us are cut out to be mothers. We are all individuals. He is very rigid in his thinking that all women are "designed" by God to have babies.
