OH WOW I hardly ever see anyone use Brambleclaw's fake story about Ashfur slipping into the stream in any capacity and using that intercut with Hollyleaf's actual violence is so effective in conveying how Hollyleaf feels about her actions. Really amazing idea and execution here

I know right! I always feel like everyone forgets about Brambleclaw doing that, when I think it's incredible and shows the father-daughter bond they have, regardless of not being actual kin.

@@elazayth I think no one does it cause it one doesn't make any sense, and two takes away from Hollyleaf's agency, and three confuses people as to what's canon. CANON is that Hollyleaf killed Ashfur. She stalked him like he was prey. I actually remember people thinking Bramble's explanation was real, was canon was what actually happened. But it isn't. So safe to say that's why it isn't used for MAPs.

One thing i would love to see is the two of them talking about how Ash really died. It would be interesting to read that conversation, and I would like to see what Bramble thinks about it all. Like honestly what was the guy thinking, "My daughter who's apparently not my daughter killed a guy? What is happening? Shoot, I've got to say something before she gets exiled or killed."

oOOO I like how we don't actually see Hollyleaf killing Ashfur and instead only get the flashback to the fire. It's really reflective of how much it impacted her, so much that it's the only thing on her mind as she actually does the killing.

I can't get over how you showed Ashfur and Hollyleaf actually interact, the slow backing up of Ashfur, and the confident walk forward from Hollyleaf was perfect! Even all the shots were so perfect and clean! Just truly amazing!

I love animations like this; the types that focus on one specific scene. I think it’s really cool when people do scenes that don’t really get elaborated too much. Like, in other Warriors animations, this scene usually goes by rather quickly. So, I think it’s interesting that this was more “spread out,” for lack of better words. Anyways, this is amazing! I love the eerie feel of this. Great work!

I love how we see snippets of the fire scene and then it cuts to Hollyleaf staring back at Ashfur, like she killed him while thinking back at the fire, causing her more trauma and fury. Very awesome !!

Hhhhh you are so godly, the almost phycadelic blues used for the "killing scene" really emphasise how separated hollyleaf's mind is from her own actions in a way? The transitions r so smooth and i love the glow around them in the fire scene, it feels dream like in a way. I love when animators use intense monologues or dialogues like this instead of music, you can really get the tension through
